"We moved to Vero Beach from New England and purchased a new portable generator that ran sluggishly. I contacted Brian, who came to Vero to trouble shoot the generator and work with the supplier. After assessing and determining the gas and electrical hookups were effective, Brian realized the supplier's natural gas regulator was defective. The supplier sent us a new regulator which Brian came back to Vero to install. Brian also noted that the gas line provided was too small for the unit and contacted the supplier who provided us the proper hose. I can't say enough good things about Brian. The service he provided was excellent, and his commitment to helping us finally get our generator operating properly was noteworthy. Highly Recommended."

"Very professional and personable. Once I made the decision to have the work done they scheduled it for the very next day. They arrived on time, completed all the work, explained everything and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. I definitely will use them for my electrical needs in the future. Love that they guarantee their work for 4 years. Thanks Carlos for the estimate and Zoltran for the service. It was a pleasure working with you."

"The electricians came in and replaced a handful of outlets and a couple of switches in our home and were extremely professional and kind. Walking me through the whole process and asking me questions along the way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. They were quick, tidy and exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to come out and handle my electrical needs. 5/5 would hire them again."

"The electricians did a very clean and efficient job while installing my Tesla wall charger. They knew all about proper sizing for conductors and they used quality materials. The job looks great. They cleaned up after themselves and called back within a week just to verify I was not having any problems. Their customer service is outstanding."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

Generators are safe to use as long as they are installed and operated correctly according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The most critical safety tips are to never use a portable or fuel-powered generator inside an enclosed space due to the risk of lethal carbon monoxide poisoning; always operate it outdoors where fumes can dissipate away from your home. Additionally, never attempt to connect a generator to your home’s electrical panel yourself—hire a professional to ensure the setup meets safety standards. Finally, avoid overloading the generator by not connecting more appliances than it is rated for, as this can damage your equipment or cause a fire.

DIY is possible for basic setups. Professional installation ensures safe and proper electrical connections.

If you’re deciding between a solar battery versus a generator for the best backup power solution, you can take a few factors into consideration. Solar batteries are quiet while generators can be quite loud. Generators have a lower up-front cost, but they require fuel and ongoing maintenance while solar batteries are more expensive but don’t have many ongoing costs.

You can determine what size generator you need for a transfer switch by matching the switch to the largest outlet on your generator. Larger generators can power up to 10 circuits, while most 5,000-watt generators can provide power to six circuits. So, if your generator’s largest outlet is 30 amps, you’ll need a 30-amp transfer switch.

If you have a transfer switch properly installed, the generator and main electrical power cannot feed the system at the same time. However, you should still shut off the power at your main circuit breaker panel before activating the generator. If you do that, you’ll simply need to shut off the generator and reset your circuit breaker once the local power comes back on.
