"My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Ariel Musibay and AlphaOmega Solutions. Ariel and his team installed our generator and it was a great experience. We had had a few companies come out to bid and they were all late and didn't listen to our needs. Ariel listened, explained and gave us a very fair quote. The entire crew was wonderful to work with. They always took the time to answer my questions and give a smile. It looks awesome! When it came time to show us how it works Ariel came and personally gave us a tutorial. I have lived in Miami almost my entire life and I have not ever had a company treat us with so much respect. They are professional and competent. Look no further. Hire AlphaOmega Solutions!"

Customers say: Quick response

"Alejandro is very professional and thorough. He came to evaluate the project ( EV charger installation) on a weekend. Subsequently, he provided a thorough and reasonable estimate as well as advice regarding the equipment to install and the rationale for obtaining city permits. He was able to navigate all of this through the lockdown and completed the job in an expert manner. He has offered to come back to facilitate the city inspection. In addition there is a one year warranty on his installation. I highly recommend his company for your electrical needs."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

Yes, installing a generator usually increases your property value because buyers are getting the added peace of mind knowing they’ll be able to maintain power through blackouts. In most cases, you should see close to a 100% return on investment (ROI). Keep in mind that home generators usually need a permanent foundation, and installing a concrete slab will likely raise your property taxes slightly.

It might seem counterintuitive, but installing a generator transfer switch will save you money in the long run. While you’ll have to pay between $400 and $2,500 to have the transfer switch installed, you’ll recoup that amount later on when you don’t have to pay for expensive repairs to your appliances, devices, and electrical system that may have burned out, overloaded, or stopped working due to a sudden loss of power or an incorrect hook up of a generator to your home

The amount of time a standby generator can run continuously is around 3,000 hours on average. However, standby generators can generally run indefinitely as long as they have a continuous fuel supply. Generators hooked up to a home’s natural gas supply are the best option for extended usage, as these won’t rely on a finite fuel supply based on how much you have in storage. Generators running on liquid propane or diesel won’t last as long, as these require fuel storage and regular refueling to stay running.

While standby generators provide essential backup power, they can fail when you need them most due to lack of maintenance, fuel supply issues, dead batteries, electrical problems, or improper installation. To avoid costly failures, professional installation and regular maintenance are crucial. Licensed technicians ensure safety, uphold warranty requirements, comply with regulations, and provide expert servicing.

If you’re wondering if you can use your electric vehicle as a backup battery, it depends on whether your EV is compatible with bidirectional charging. This technology allows energy to flow both ways, enabling vehicle-to-home (V2H) backup power, vehicle-to-load (V2L) for appliances and camping, and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) to support the power grid. Compatible EVs convert stored DC energy into usable AC power, helping reduce energy costs and enhance grid stability while providing emergency backup power.
