They took great care not to damage any plants in the front yard or property. they cleaned up after themselves. Customers say: Terrific value

"Excellent company, excellent service, Quinn, an extremely nice guy, the co-owner walked me thru all the steps and kept me informed on everything including pictures. they went above and beyond and did an excellent job on a problem roof that had many issues from rotten wood to creating a peak with a slope for my flat roof over my garage so water would not puddle like before. custom flashing metal work and correcting the rusty nail problem using stainless steel nails. also included wind mitigation report to save me on insurance costs. All at a price that made me very happy. I highly recommend Peak Roofing and Quinn for all your roofing needs. They get the job done right as it should be for a very reasonable rate."

"When needing repair to a leaking roof I contacted 5 roofing companies for their recommendations and quotes. Only Patric Hamilton with Worthman was professional and personable. Only Patric had a plan that made sense. And the price was reasonable. I was given a time table as to when it could be started and completed. We re-roofed a flat roof and are very happy with the results. For years we had minor leaks with this roof and are now confident going into the rainy season that all will be well. Thank you Worthman Roofing for a job well done! Bo Bohacek"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Underlayment is required by building code, so any roof installed without it is technically against code. The underlayment acts as the second layer of defense against water, so installing a roof without underlayment means a much higher risk of roof leaks. You’ll have the best chance of avoiding roof leaks if you install drip edge flashing covered by underlayment, and then install your roofing material over that.

You can replace a roof in the winter, though it’s not the most popular time to do so. The biggest drawback of winter roofing work is the weather. Snow and ice make for dangerous, slippery working conditions. Plus, shingles can only be installed in temperatures above 40 to 45 degrees.

The best time to replace a roof is in the spring or fall when the weather is mild. However, you can likely save some money by booking the job in the winter off-season, when roofers have more availability.

Moving a chimney is possible, but it is a very complex process that requires professional expertise, knowledge of building codes, and safety protocols. Most homeowners find it easier to remove the fireplace and build a new fireplace and chimney in the new location of your home. Talk to your chimney pro about all your options, their costs, and pros and cons.

In general, you should consider replacing your roof if more than 30% of it is damaged. This includes several missing shingles, large spots of granule loss, extreme curling or cracking, structural damage to the roof's decking, or multiple areas of leaks. All of these issues could indicate compromised structural integrity that requires roof replacement.

Rain shouldn’t come in through your ridge vents unless your vents are damaged or the rain is accompanied by very high winds. Most ridge vents use flashing or baffling to keep out rain, snow, and debris. If your ridge vent isn’t baffled, rain is more likely to enter your attic, so ridge vents with baffles are a better choice in areas with regular rainfall.
