"I have renovated 2 bathrooms last year with this company and was very impressed with the quality and price. This year I decided to do my last bathroom and it was another great experience. The crew works from 8-5 or 6 every day until they are done. They are very accommodating for any requests or modifications. They are very skilled and honest about their work. I would strongly recommend them and will hire them in the future for any other projects."

"From start to finish the project was explained by Adam and Frank. I am so pleased with the new shower unit designed by Rodney, who is a wonderful salesman. Our goal was maintenance free bathroom on our 3rd floor and that is exactly what we were given. Thanks Coastal Bath Co."

"This company did a great job clearing out multiple drains in my yard. They assessed the problem and solved them one by one successfull. They were professional and efficient. I definitly would use them again if I had to. Their price for work was reasonable. They did work that several other companies were unable or unwilling to take on. I am truely satisfied."

"Tony was wonderful. I contracted with him in to finish a bathroom. The prior contractor made many majoristakrs with the drainage. Tony had to fix several major plumbing mistakes. He was up front, clear on the issues and what had to be done to correct the problems. Wonderful work and I will be contracting with him in the future."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Keep pipe insulation and cold-rated heat tape on hand to protect exposed pipes during freezing Clayton nights. Maintain proper crawl space access gear, including reliable lighting and vapor barrier materials. Stock sediment flushing tools to clear mineral deposits from your water heater and aerators. Always know your main water shutoff location, and keep a backup tool to access the meter curb stop in case the original house valve fails.

Helpful?

Homeowners frequently underestimate how a simple fixture replacement expands into a major repiping job once walls open up in older properties. Upgrading your plumbing requires proper seasonal planning to avoid freezing pipes or miserable summer humidity in crawl spaces. You must also account for local permit requirements and evaluate how new fixtures impact existing Delaware septic systems. Plan your water heater sizing carefully to handle heavy mineral buildup.

Helpful?

Watch for a drop in water pressure after a cold night, indicating micro-cracked pipes from DE winter freezes. Noticeable musty odors or damp subflooring point to crawl space leaks accelerating corrosion. Rapidly returning reddish-brown stains on fixtures or rumbling sounds from your water heater signal severe mineral sediment buildup. Gurgling sounds from multiple fixtures point to tree root intrusion in older sewer lines rather than a simple clog.

Helpful?

Cosmetic plumbing updates in older Clayton homes frequently uncover underlying functional failures, such as corroded supply lines. While swapping a fixture is straightforward, altering drain locations triggers strict permit requirements. Cosmetic mineral staining requires addressing the functional water chemistry at the source to prevent recurrence. Both types of projects demand difficult crawl space access, but functional repairs carry immediate seasonal urgency to prevent severe winter freeze damage.

Helpful?

Start by requesting a water quality report from the town, as local groundwater contains elevated iron and manganese. Inspect your home for aging galvanized or polybutylene pipes, and verify if your property has a lead service line. Confirm whether your home connects to the municipal sewer or a private septic system. Address these plumbing tasks early to protect your home and ensure your water supply remains safe and reliable in Clayton.
