  • Water Heater Medic
We had a new hot water heater installed 2 years ago. We recently saw an issue with it (these things can happen) and contacted Mark immediately. Mark and his team not only made it a priority to come out to our house immediately and replace the tank, he worked with the supplier and manufacturer to submit the warranty claim for the old tank. He stayed on top of the claim and had us reimbursed for the cost of the new tank within 2 weeks. He worked diligently to make things right, and we truly appreciate it. Don’t hesitate to work with Mark and Water Heater Medic

  • Ray Page Plumbing, Inc
I hired Ray Page based on very positive online reviews and recommendations from friends. I’m very glad I hired them for the job. They gave me the first appointment of the day to accommodate my schedule. Their technician, Luke, was on time, customer- oriented, courteous and professional. He wore a mask at my request and made sure he kept my rugs and floor coverings clean as he did the work. After reviewing the old install, he explained the process to me and discussed toilets he’d brought to do the job. The quote he provided was competitive and reasonable for replacement with a Kohler model I liked. He removed the old toilet carefully and installed the new one, testing to ensure there were no leaks. He reviewed the new installation with me and asked if I had any questions. The payment option of credit card with email confirmation was simple and fast. The whole job took about 90 minutes which was perfect for me. Thanks, Luke, for the great job you did

  • Excalibur Construction
My project involved a full kitchen and bathroom renovation in my 100+ year old house. It came with all the challenges of an older home, complete with uneven walls and floors, original plaster, and strangely shaped rooms / layout. Leo was very attentive, detail oriented, and always wanted to be sure I was happy with the decisions needed. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me or increase the scope of the project for his own gain. Along the way there were things I added to the scope, but he was always helpful in deciding what was needed or made sense to do vs. something not needed or that might be overinvesting. He was very diligent and detail oriented in all aspects of the job. The project involved leveling and sheet rocking walls and ceilings, new tile throughout the bathroom, new tub, installation of shower doors, removal of an exterior window (and residing exterior to cover the area, which was done seamlessly), new sinks, vanity, mirrors, and fixtures, and a slew of other details I’m probably leaving out. It was a challenging space and came out great! Much of the same was needed in the kitchen, but it also included new cabinets, counters, backsplash, and framing out a very weird wall so the cabinets and appliances would make sense and be even. He also painted all of rooms and left the house clean and beautiful. He was always polite and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again for another similar project in the future

  • Excalibur Construction
We're thrilled with the work Leo and his team at Excalibur Construction did to create a beautiful bathroom out of an outdated laundry space. Leo has an impressive range of skills, and is a a kind and trustworthy person. The project was started in early March of 2020 and at my request, was paused for several months due to Covid shut down. Leo was flexible with this interruption and although he was extremely busy when we asked to begin again, he made the time and followed Covid-safe work practices. We live in an old house and there was extensive preparation - foundation work and window moving. Leo kept us informed on these developments and was transparent in how these impacted timing and pricing. His project spanned plumbing, electrical work, framing, tile work, and shower door installation. Leo paid attention to each detail and offered thoughtful design suggestions. The finished bathroom is beautiful; form and function are perfect

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
