"As usual, Ray Page Plumbing was super responsive and incredibly punctual. Andrew came out and quickly did an inspection. His suspicions were right on as the wax ring around the base of the toilet had come unsealed and caused the leak. He was very fast, very efficient, and incredibly courteous. He left my bathroom spotless after the repair was made. These guys are worth the call."

"I needed a toilet replaced. When I put in the request for service, Spiro returned the call within 2 minutes and provided a quote. He arrived on time and what impressed me was how quick he was. It was only Spiro and he removed my old toilet and installed the new one in 45 minutes. He cleaned up everything and took the old toilet and all the cardboard. I would recommend Spiro to everyone."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.

Sealant doesn’t need to be applied to the bolts, but it can be a good way to stop an active leak in the moment. However, don’t rely on it as a cure-all; instead, make sure to fix the problem at the source by changing or tightening the bolts.

If you do use sealant, make sure to spread it thickly and evenly across the bolts and the tank's porcelain.

Check connections, clean fixtures, and apply finishing or protective coatings to preserve months' worth of shine and functionality.

Depending on the type of renovations needed, the cost to build an ADA bathroom ranges between $700 and $8,050. On average, most homeowners pay around $4,375 for this remodel. This type of remodeling requires following strict ADA accessibility guidelines to ensure a universal design.
