"Thank you [Member Name Removed] and David, It was a pleasure having you as customers. Hope you will enjoy your new kitchen and master bathroom for many years to come!"
"At Irene Designs, we take customers feedback very seriously and want to make sure we provide the highest level of service possible. Having received Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s complaints, we have arranged for an on-site inspection to investigate every issue. This inspection took place on July 26, 2017 and our detailed response with settlement offer was provided to Ms. [Member Name Removed] on August 10, 2017 through our attorney. Here is a brief summary: Leak in the dining room requires further inspection including opening the ceiling to determine the source of the leak. We are awaiting for Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s written consent to perform such inspection either by us or by a certified home inspector in our presence. If further inspection determines that the leak occurred from the shower and is our fault, we will repair the shower and the ceiling, and reimburse Ms. [Member Name Removed] for the blinds and any damage to the ceiling. Spills from under the glass door, as well as the tile crack on the half wall, have to be addressed by the Shower Door Guys, who designed and installed glass enclosure for Ms. [Member Name Removed] under a separate contract. On our end, we are ready to assist by arranging for a third-party expert examine the door for possible adjustments. We can also offer an alternative solution by replacing the shower arms to change the angle of the spray from the shower. The toilet space is cramped due to the addition of a full-height towel warmer that previous bathroom didn't have. During the renovation process, Ms. [Member Name Removed] was informed several times that the toilet couldn't be relocated, as originally planned, due to structural limitations. Before the towel warmer was installed, Ms. [Member Name Removed] was given two weeks to use the bathroom and feel the space. We now offer three options of relocating the towel warmer to give more room by the toilet, and we are awaiting for Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s decision. While some of the findings would ordinarily find their way into a punch list for routine finishing and adjustment, many other claims like damage to the tub, multiple scratches and dents to the vanity, shower, etc. are the results of normal wear and tear since those were not mentioned to us until several month after completion of our work in January, 2017. However, we still address them as a curtesy if full settlement with Ms. [Member Name Removed] is reached. Some of Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s claims are expressly rejected. Those are: Reimbursement for a pre-existing master bathroom door that wouldn't close because of the settlement of the house. We have repaired that door to make it functional as a courtesy to Ms. [Member Name Removed]. Reimbursement for replacement of a carpet which has pre-existing stains. We used a drop cloth and took proper precautions to prevent further staining. Reimbursement for replacement of a hallway door which allegedly was ordered in the wrong color. The door was ordered and installed with Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s approval. Reimbursement for the work done on April 25, 2017 by Ms. [Member Name Removed]'s plumber. Our remodeling contract with Ms. [Member Name Removed] specifically provides that "Plumbing jobs are NOT part of this contract. Separate contract will be signed with licensed plumber." The plumbing for both bathroom remodels was performed by David Robbin, under a separate contract. The work for which the reimbursement is sought, was done by a completely different plumber without notice to David Robbin and without our knowledge."
