"I had Patch Boys come to my home to repair cracks in my walls after having insulation blown in. Tim spent 5 days in my home repairing the walls and Tim did a great job. He was respectful, professional, polite and did a good job cleaning up. I would highly recommend Patch Boys and the owner Al Coger made sure everything was going well."

"Steve is a real pro. Reliable, on time, does excellent work. I had Steve do a ceiling repair a few years ago and this time hired him to fix some taping repairs due to a water leak plus other needed taping repairs. As the first time from start to finish, Steve's work was exemplary. Definitely would hire him again."

"I asked for 4 quotes to replace my front walkway. Adrian was the first to respond and the most reasonable. He came up with a sound solution that included perspectives that the other companies did not consider. He was here within a week and he and his son installed the most beautiful walkway! It has a strong foundation and he used beautiful materials. He even redesigned our entry step to tie the work together. He was reliable and kind. My neighbors have all asked for his card. I would recommend this family for any masonry work you need!"

"Leonard expertly repaired my slate walks and patio that had lifted and settled over time. The process included power washing the stones, laying and leveling fresh stone dust, then replacing the stone -- including replacing those that had broken. The pricing was fair and the work outstanding. I will use Leonard again and recommend him to friends and neighbors."

"A soft wall due to improperly installed gutter by some other entity or homeowner caused water to constantly leak into the wall from the exterior roofline. This soft wall grow moldy and become riddled with pests/bugs. The contractor identified the potential issues, agreed to explore and open the walls and discuss the conditions, made sound recommendations for repair and did exactly what was noted in the repair (replaced a load bearing exterior wall, fixed the sill plate, completed the roof, shingles etc. and closed up the walls on the inside with insulation and sheet rock.). The work was timely, well done, the workers were clean as they did the job and kept the rest of the property clean. The manager of the job David Apel was and is an excellent communicator with phone/email/text and photos of processes and progress. I am going to use this company in my own investment endeavors on other properties and projects given the level of finished work, the timing and especially the level of detailed communication."

"We provided Luigi with a list ahead of time and asked for an estimated amount of time which he hit right on the nose. We had a variety of items that had been on the to-do list for some time. Not only did he take care of everything on the list, he was able to repair items we were previously told couldn't be repaired. We're making more lists and planning to hire him back soon."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

A retaining wall can only function as a fence if it’s high enough on all sides to prevent someone from accidentally falling into the pool. However, most retaining walls retain dirt, which means their purpose is not related to safety. There would need to be nothing on the other side of the wall for it to be considered a fence, but in that case, it wouldn’t retain anything and would cease to be a retaining wall.

Proper design and construction prevent erosion and add structural stability to landscapes.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.

Yes, to build a retaining wall, a permit is required. Similarly, any repairs or modifications to an existing retaining wall require permits. If the planned wall measures higher than 4 feet, most municipalities require designs and permits come through a licensed engineer. In some locations, if the wall is shorter than 4 feet, a permit may not be required. For the requirements in your area, contact your local government.
