"While out of town, got word basement might be flooded. Called Schede to check boiler and hot water heater.. They went out the same day. Discovered sump pump wasn't working so replaced it. Cost pump and labor $800. Over the years they have responded to many problems, leaking faucets and stuck drains. Biggest project replace boiler for steam heat. Took 5 guys to wrestle boiler down a narrow basement stairway. Patient with a few family disagreements. Nothing to do with them. Installation successful. They've always been prompt courteous and non judgemental when encountering crazy working conditions. Think they are great. Boiler and hot water heater were fine. They installed both."

Their crew of 3 showed up and laid down plastic mat from our front door all the way down to the basement (at least 200'). It was over kill - but then I saw why. They had to dig a 36" deep pit and a wider hole - and brought up all the mess in buckets. NOT A SINGLE DROP ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR OR ONE THE WAY UP THE STAIRS. In fact - if you didn't see the high tech 3 pump sump pump they installed - you would have never known they were there. EVERYONE was super nice and answered all my many questions.
