"They called back immediately from my initial message. They came first thing in the morning and by noon my new water heater was installed and up and running. They went over and beyond what I have ever experienced with other plumbing technicians. They explained everything up front and I found them to be highly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and they have acquired a new lifelong customer based on their performance dealing with my situation."

"I cannot say enough great things about Joe. He is the only honest service provider we have come across. After buying our dream home we have been hit with one thing after another. We have ran into so really dishonest guys (got completely ripped off by Michael's Plumbing!)
Woke up one day to no water, called Joe who was able to accommodate me at the time I was available. Got the problem solved in less than 30 minutes. He replaced the control box to the well pump and only costed $200.  After thoroughly checking our well pump, he did warn us that the pump will have to be replaced soon. Gave us an estimate and did not call us to harass us about doing the job.  While Joe was there, we were complaining to him about our water quality. He performed a free water analysis and changed out our water softerner filter at no charge.  (We had another guy come prior to Joe just to take a look at the water softerner.  He wanted to charge us $250 for the water test and a new filter).   Once we were ready to do the repair, we called Joe who came back out right away and did the job. He even credited back the $200 we paid him on the previous service call.  He warned us that due to stirring up the well, there may be some extra sediment coming up the system and we might have to change our filter in the water softerner.  My husband is not very handy and tried to change out the water softener filter and ended up creating a big mess.  We called Joe who came out within the hour (on a Saturday night nonetheless!) and fixed it right away.  He didn't even charge us for the call!  I insisted as it's only fair, we are not looking for freebies. It's great to know there are still service men out there that take care of their customers and are not out to squeeze every last penny out of you.  Thanks Joe!!

"RicK responded quickly to my request. He was professional and was able to schedule my project within a few days. He and his partner arrived on time, they were very efficient and did a great job of cleaning up the work area. I would hire E and R Plumbing again."

"The reason I first hire them is to look at the boiler to reconnect the pipe so I can get it tested. The plumber came and he told me he does not do that work. They lock you in with the deposit and so you use it or loose it. The work that was done was okay. To reconnect two 1.5" drain pipes for $450.00 is a lot of crap. I would not hire anyone that would ask for a deposit, for it is the games that they play. Use it and they still charge you more for the job."

"Luis Septic Service agreed to replace our septic ejection pump and tank alarm with the pump and alarm switch I had purchased. As we tested together we agreed that the Alarm switch or circuitry was the reason the alarm had triggered and not because the tank had overflowed. I elected to replace the pump as the old one was 7 yrs old. We worked together and completed the project successfully ... $500"

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

No, you do not have to worry about new popcorn ceilings having asbestos. All residential building materials used since the mid-1980s stopped including asbestos, so new popcorn ceilings have no risk of asbestos. You can still create a textured drywall ceiling with a popcorn texture if you like, but new techniques have no risk of adding asbestos.

Because of the danger of inhaling asbestos fibers, figuring out through testing whether your popcorn ceiling contains asbestos is definitely worth it. If the popcorn ceiling texture has asbestos, remove it as soon as possible to keep your family safe. Any home built in or before the 1980s that has popcorn ceilings could have asbestos, necessitating testing. Asbestos carries several health risks for people who inhale it, including the increased chance of developing lung cancer in the future.

Professionals use specialized equipment and techniques to detect asbestos, radon, and VOCs.

It can be safe to live in a house with asbestos as long as the asbestos-containing materials are intact, in good condition, and not disturbed. Asbestos becomes dangerous only when its fibers are released into the air, which happens if the material is damaged, crumbling, or disturbed during renovation work. If you suspect asbestos is present, do not disturb it. Instead of removal, materials in good condition can sometimes be encapsulated. It is recommended to have regular professional inspections to monitor the condition of the asbestos and prevent health risks from potential exposure.

Homes built before the 1990s may contain asbestos, but the only way to be sure is to have your home tested. Hire an asbestos testing and removal service to determine whether you have the hazardous material in your home and the best process for removing or sealing it.
