He basically "cleaned up their mess" since they did not do a thorough report in order for us to get our energy rebate etc. He went above and beyond the scope of what we hired him to do, always with a friendly greeting and smile. "Daniel replaced a dozen wood casement windows for us with new vinyl clad ones. The windows he replaced were 20 year old ones from when the home addition was constructed. The other windows in the house were replaced about 15 years ago and Daniel was able to almost exactly match those. He provided the best price and his team was quick and efficient. They did a great job and the new windows are perfect."

"Out 1957 home had minimal insulation in the attic. Over the years some had been added but there were many gaps which made for uneven temperatures throughout the house. Dave and his crew removed the old inefficient patchwork of insulation. They then added channels around the rafters to promote air-flow. Finally they added blown in insulation to achieve R49 or better. The insulation is already making a difference in even temperatures all through the house. Dave and his team were punctual, professional and unobtrusive. The office was very communicative keeping us aware of all phases of the work. We highly recommend Dave and his company."

"They lie temps are to high. We had a working three ton . This company replaced with a two ton and it is not keeping up. They promised to replace with the same ton they took out then change there story. It would be a lose for the company. And that’s why I Must admit the owner is going above and beyond to fix but still no change this is the temp after owner cam coming out of vent. 61-69 says it should be 52 not anywhere close to that. They need to train there sales associates better. Now they ignor are calls"

"I hired Albana Roofing to replace the Soffit and Fascia on my house. It's a family-owned company and everyone was super nice and very knowledgable. They did a great job, arriving at 8:00 am each day to work a full day. They even worked on Saturday to get the job done quicker. I recommend them and would hire them again in the future."

"Keith was kind, courteous and promptly available and did exactly what was requested in one day! He painted the dining room of the house we had just closed on, it came out BEAUTIFUL!!! "Unfortunately I give BBB a 1 star rating. The project began October of 2021 with demolition, upon completion of each phase I sent an email to Better Built Basement management thanking them for their work effort and identifying items that either required further explanation and/or resolution. As the project went on, I became increasingly frustrated with their lack of communication, lack of accountability, lack of caring, and lack of skill. The straw that broke my back was when Jim (an owner) called me a f’ing c’sucker. Randy, (an owner) sent me the following email: No one has time to read your 3-page condensing e-mails. You have done nothing but complaint. It's obnoxious and draining to everyone you come in contact with. There isn't one person who cant wait to have you out of our lives. I terminated Better Built Basements on June 7th, 2022, here are some of the details of my experience: - The demo crew was excellent in and out in a day and did a great job cleaning up - The electricians were very consultative in their approach to the project, providing input on lighting and outlet placements. - Framing was mediocre. Despite using laser equipment, one wall was wavy and the ceiling grid has a large gap. Pictures attached. - New steel stud framing and pre-hung doors should be dead on straight as an arrow instead, two of the doors has an aesthetically noticeable skew. - The replacement to an existing door resulted in using the wrong hinge set for the existing mortices, inclusive of color – all the other hardware is brass they used chrome. Picture attached. - 3 of the four doors were either chipped or cracked. BBB was notified before the ‘final’ paint job, but they failed to address the issue. - I returned home the day they applied joint compound to find glops of joint compound on the floor, which I tracked around my house, and glops on wood work on a floor where no work was occurring. Pictures attached - Following the flooring installation, they left garbage in my basement for 2.5 weeks, then did not take it when they came back – in frustration I disposed of it myself. - Many of joints on the ¼ round trim molding were caulked excessively to cover up sloppy miters. - Cracked switchhplate was not replaced. Picture attached. - Sub-contractors have sub-contractors, who seem to be able to sub contract – direct employees of BBB other than the demo and electrical were rare. BBB demands using a lock box, Many people have the combination, providing little sense of security over access to the home. Overall, BBB does a bad job communicating, managing expectations and fails to deliver on their stated objectives at best they are contractors not craftsman."

"Keith did a great job helping us obtain the building permit, explaining the decking options, and designing the deck. The deck completely covers old concrete steps and makes entrance into our home much easier. Keith used Trex material for the deck, which is maintenance free; he negotiated a good deal with the supplier for the color which closely matched our other deck. He suggested a local electrician for us to consult about lights along the stairs. Keith communicated with us in a timely basis and we always knew his schedule. We would not hesitate to hire Keith again for another project."
