"I received a phone call almost immediately after requesting service for my boiler. I was scheduled for the very next day, and the work that was done was done quite well. Greg, the service tech who came out, explained to me what he was doing as he was cleaning my boiler. I highly recommend using this company!"

"Beacon did a great job at installing a new American standard air handler and compressor unit. My was past it’s life span. They kept the work area clean and quickly installed new unit. Huge difference in performance. Jason at front office helped me throughout process. Kevin and guys did nice job installing and educating me on new system. Everyone was very easy to work with. "The guys that came out to do our home energy audit where very professional.  They gave me an overall explanation of what they would be doing and as they did their work they updated me regularly as to what they where about to do next as they completed each part.   They found my boiler was a bit out of spec on the amount of CO2 it was producing and I suggested i have it looked at.  I took them up on getting one of their maintance teams over to look at it and to my surprise they where able to be here before the Home energy audit guys left so they where able to explain what they found face to face.  It turned out to be nothing major just a bent piece of metal a little to close to the flame cause a lose of efficient burn.

"They did a really nice job. I used to get oil from another company, but their price was much more expensive than that of Valley Energy Co. They were very accurate about their estimate and knew exactly what they were doing. They spent a lot of time doing the work. They also cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Installing a boiler requires training, a specific skill set, and extensive experience. Boiler installation can be extremely dangerous, as it involves working with water lines, gas lines, and electricity. For this reason, it’s strongly recommended that you hire a professional to install your boiler. Some states even consider it illegal to work on a boiler without the proper licensing.

Chilled water HVAC systems use water instead of traditional components and refrigerants. They're more common in commercial settings than residential ones but are slowly being adopted by some homebuilders to cool homes. As the name implies, the system keeps the water chilled at 40 degrees and circulates it through water coils. The water absorbs the heat from your home and drains outdoors. Condo apartments are more likely to have chilled water HVAC than single-family homes because this system is designed to cool several rooms or large areas individually.

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.

A home radiator works by using radiation and convection to transfer heat throughout your home. Electric radiators use metal to conduct heat and warm the air, which then rises to warm the room. Steam and hot water radiators work with a boiler and piping system to pump thermal energy throughout the home. Hot water radiators use a boiler to heat the water before circulating it to the radiator, while steam heating radiator systems convert the heated water to steam before circulating it out. When the water or steam cools, it travels back to the boiler to be heated again.

Due to fuel line connections and venting complexity, professional installation is required for safety and efficiency.
