"The gentleman we friendly and courteous and miraculously got furniture into an apartment that was designed poorly for moving in/out. However, I felt the pace was slow and I was uncertain about their experience/knowledge with moving. When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.

Never attempt to move a partially-filled tank, especially with the fish still in it. Even a minor alteration or adjustment in your movement can cause the water to move, disrupting the balance and potentially causing you to drop the tank or strain your back to prevent it from falling. However, you should maintain enough water on the bottom to keep the substrate slightly submerged during transit.

Moving across state lines is a similar process to moving within a state. Packing, loading, and unloading of trucks will follow the same process. The primary difference is during transportation, where your belongings may be loaded onto a dedicated moving truck or combined with other shipments, depending on the distance. Your moving company will offer tracking and ongoing communication of your boxes.   

Unscrew and remove furniture legs if possible. If it’s not possible, then run the straps parallel on the inner side of the furniture legs. Never put your straps on the outer side of legs where they can easily slip off.

If you’re moving locally, pack up your condiments in a cooler and move them in your car or moving truck so you can put them in the fridge as soon as you arrive at your new place. For long-distance moves, use up or empty out all opened condiments or give them to your neighbors. Pack unopened condiments in a box or give them away if you don’t want to move them.
