Customers say: Quick response

"Great job; very professional; very thorough. I do have to say it was much more than I expected to pay, but I know anything plumbing is expensive now and since I am unable to do this myself any longer, I had to go this path."

"I was too nervous to install a toilet myself as the flange was not flush with the tile, so I wanted to bring in a professional to do the job.   The plumber from Mr. C's was on time and did a great job on the installation.  Initially; he was going to try to re-use the old existing shut off valve as long as it was working okay; however, after turning the water supply on again, it was clear that it was going to leak.  He had a new valve on hand in his truck and quickly switched that out as well.  I appreciate his willingness to try the old valve to see if I could save a few bucks.  The only bummer was waiting nearly a full week for my appointment.  This is a small operation and they have a good reputation so you may have to wait a few days and plan accordingly.  I think the quality work and low price was worth the wait.  "

"We had ProServ install a high elongated toilet.  Our washing machine was not putting out hot water.  They replaced the washing machine hoses.  We had a water heater and a water softener replaced with new units.  They replaced the water heater pump and assembly.  We had our house built, and now it is 9 years old.  We figured it would be a good idea to replace these plumbing units as the originals were old.We highly recommend ProServ for your plumbing issues."

"Justin J. did a fantastic job. He was on time, professional, very knowledgeable, and kept my house clean by putting down drop cloths etc. Justin fixed the leaky pipe very quickly and although my drain was all rusty and being very annoying he kept at it to save me money by not going through the toilet and his hardwork paid off for me. I use Time Plumbing for any plumbing need which is usually an emergency and they always do an excellent job at a good price."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Because it’s been through the water cycle, evaporating and becoming slightly acidic thanks to dissolved carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, rainwater tends to be naturally soft compared to groundwater, which has just been in contact with limestone. However, the natural hardness level of water always depends on where you are and other factors.

It’s not a good idea to oversize your water softener. Doing so will mean the tank doesn’t get full, which can lead to channeling. This leads to a large portion of the resin beads not being utilized and the beads at the bottom of the tank being overused. Over time, this will reduce the efficiency of your system, not to mention that the upfront cost of an oversized softener is unnecessarily high. If you have a timed regeneration cycle rather than a demand-based one, you’ll also spend far more on replacing salt than you need to.

Routine maintenance involves recharging the resin bed with salt or potassium, cleaning components, and periodic inspection.

Choosing involves understanding water hardness levels, household size, desired features, and consulting professionals experienced in suitable system types.

No, a water descaler won't descale pipes. The charged water running through the pipes may very slowly dissolve mineral deposits and hold them inside the water, but it's a very gradual process. If your pipes do need descaling, it's much better to get a local plumber to descale your pipes.
