On the day of the job, only one worker arrived, the job took about 4.5 hours, and no specialized equipment was required—yet we were invoiced as if the full scope had been delivered. When we questioned the invoice based on the reduced level of effort, Alec denied or downplayed the discrepancies, he gaslighted us even though we had witnesses. Then there were the simple parts that had been marked up nearly 300% compared to standard retail prices. Our advice: Get multiple bids, insist on clear written details about labor, equipment, and materials, and don’t rely solely on verbal assurances—otherwise, you risk paying for work and materials you didn’t actually receive.
