"We had the company come out after we had a flood in our basement. They leveled the concrete and sealed the area and we never had a water issue again. They cleaned the area and you never would have known they were there. We even were sent a video of the job! Very impressed and highly recommend"

"Jon was very professional and upfront regarding our project, time, and price. His crew was very punctual and polite as well as quick and efficient. My girlfriend and I bought a home with a sunken concrete floor and we needed it leveled so that we could lay down wood flooring. I have to say I am more than pleased with the results. I will most certainly recommend him to my friends as well as use his business again if and when I have another concrete slab that needs to raised. Do yourself a favor and hire this company, you'll be glad you did!"

"Enviroshapes did an excellent job, on time and within estimated price. I will hire them again if I have additional concrete work to be done. Also, they were the lowest bidder by about 15 to 20%."

"We have the good fortune to have had Patrick Johnson help us to resolve our needs about entering the front door of our home. We had purchased this lovely, brand new home (2001) from an outstanding contractor who enabled us to have the â Home of Our Dreamsâ . However after having lived here for twenty years we realized we were not â Spring Chickensâ anymore! Thank goodness Patrick was knowledgeable in assessing our needs, explaining those needs to us and, also, he was kind enough to help us resolve the wisest way to satisfy the appropriate needs! Most important to us were his abilities to explain in depth those physical needs and the unnecessary delinquencies we had developed. We were decidedly impressed when he explained to us about the positive way to develop the correct slant for the concrete, the most beneficial kind of concrete and the proper kinds of hand railings to easily resolve our needs. The most interesting part of his whole procedure was to explain what he has done for us and has given to us is immeasurable! Please take advantage of this wonderful, knowledgeable and caring man."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Common issues with concrete that may require professional repair or resurfacing include cracks, spalling, uneven surfaces, and weather damage.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Charges correlate with surface size, settlement depth, and access, often yielding significant savings over concrete replacement.
