"In my 77 years, by far the best house-painting experience. Xtreme Painting is indeed a family business. Lucy handled the estimating, scheduling, and invoicing, while husband Jose (and his crew) handled the actual painting and associated work. All get-togethers were scheduled and on-time. On my split-level house, Jose et al spent a day on the prep work, which included the replacement of more than 10 runs of damaged "fiber-board" siding, along with the usual sanding, scraping, and priming. The prep work was followed by 1 1/2 day of painting (and a comprehensive site clean-up). Jose and I then made a "walk-through and approval inspection" of the entire job, during which he touched-up any (minor) missed spots. Xtreme Painting earned my highest praise and recommendation. Superior and friendly service, quality workmanship, all at an extremely competitive price."

"Joshy's provided great service and I'm so happy with my clean windows! They responded quickly to come by and give me a bid for the project and we scheduled the work for the following week. Mr. Hernandez arrived on time and completed the work in 3 hours despite some tricky 2nd story windows and skylights. I will definitely use them again - great service!"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on surface material, labor, debris disposal, and the type of blasting media used.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

You can concrete can be done when it’s wet or dry. However, it’s safer when wet, as harmful dust and chemicals are present. Sanding it when dry is faster, but you’ll agitate more dust and chemicals, meaning you’ll need to be more careful.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
