"Luke was excellent and took on a very difficult project in my 100 year old home. I could tell from the first meeting how much care he puts into his work. He restored my Douglas fir floors and the results are stunning"

"I looked at several businesses to raise my existing rear concrete patio. By far & away, I hired Leveled LLC. Ryan is small busi owner and very accountable, very affordable. Avoid Groundworks - their quote was 3 times higher. RYAN (the busi owner) is polite, on time and experienced! thank you Leveled LLC!"

"The workers were skilled and efficient. They did a great job. My project was small, but difficult and they did it very well. I was very concerned that someone would fall and get hurt because the sidewalks were not level. That concern is gone. The price was reasonable, and well worth the money spent to get this work done. I highly recommend this company."

"Installed 7 push piers in two days and was able to raise the foundation of one wall up one inch to level it back with the rest of the house. The crew of Jonathan H, Manuel A and Gerardo T did an efficient and clean job. I was kept informed at every step of the process."

"Thrasher did a great job. The foreman was knowledgeable and he explained what was going to be done. We were allowed to watch the process. They leveled the front step and the sidewalk by drilling holes in the concrete and pumping foam under them until everything was level. They caulked everything when they were done and cleaned up the area. The entrance to our home looks so much better. It was well worth the money."

"We hired Solid Lift to lift/ support a variety of slabs/pads at our 40yr old house. One lift was (presumably) particularly challenging as it involved lifting our front entry way up enough until it then contacted and then also started lifting the slab-wide step, until all again met our door threshold and the slap has a slope to it so water would drain away from the door/house.our. After they â finishedâ , I felt like there were a couple of things. they could have done a bit better. (e,g. the completeness of crack-filling post-lift). On â calling that in, with no questions, they sent out three trucks the next to address my admittedly-minor concerns. All is great now (at least as great as can be expected for a 40 yr old house). That level of customer service Impressed the heck out of me! No doubt I will hire them again. Project manager was â Tripâ . Very professional and dedicated to getting things right."

"John is a good communicator. This was a multi step process and needed to dry in between steps. Each day, he let us know how long heâ d be working. He covered to room in a plastic bubble to limit dust to the rest of the house and did an excellent job leaving the basement clean."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.
