I was looking at replacing it because other contractors had advised that the cost of repairs was too high; repairing a 20 ye old boiler didn’t make economic sense. Gilles sent Justin over the next day, so very quick service. Justin gave me a ballpark price to replace it, which was more in line with what I thought was fair. He also gave me a very fair price to repair it — about a third of what the other contractors quoted. A good chunk money, but a much better option right now. Comparing what the three contractors told me, I’m confident that Justin had it all coveted. He then allowed me to video him, explaining what he did and what I should expect and look out for. "Initially I requested an estimate for a plumbing project already in progress with some challenges. Keith responded immediately to get details and schedule to come out to look at what was needed. He proposed a solution that eliminated any impact to walls or tile to replace old valves and faucets. He and his team completed the work on time and were neat and professional and results were better than I expected. There was no damage at all to what was old tile. I subsequently had him assess an old water heater and decided to replace it. It had to go into a very small areas and be upgraded to code and he was able to solution the replacement to fit perfectly in the limited space. Previously on the project we had noticed a periodic odor of gas but no one had verified a source. Keith identified a leak in the area of the furnace right next to the water heater. We had decided to upgrade the furnace and AC and again Keith and his team were able to get an order in quickly, get the install done exactly as committed and fixed the gas leak in the process. Based on the quality of work performed in each case and the expertise of the team I hired Plumbing Tree again to assess an old furnace and AC at my primary residence. The furnace had been failing at the end of the winter but I waited for summer to replace and it had deteriorated and was not safe. Keith evaluated and gave me two options and was able to get the order in immediately after I decided to go ahead. He scheduled the install within a few days. His crew was on time and completed the install of furnace and AC in one day. Again they were neat, efficient, described all the changes from the old furnace and thermostat to the new and answered all my questions. Everything has been functioning just as I expected for both heat and AC. I recommend Plumbing Tree for these services based on quality and reliability - also cost was competitive and the team they used had the expertise required. "So far as I can tell, the quality of the products and the quality of their installation was fine. The furnace includes PVC pipe venting both to bring combusting air into the furnace from the outdoors and taking exhaust gases outdoors through another PVC pipe through a concentric vent in the outside wall. This process is designed to prevent any exhaust gases in the basement or any bad negative air pressure in the basement. The furnace is an energy star with 95 percent efficiency. The only negative aspect of all this was Controlling Systems' behavior relating to scheduling as described in the section above."

They did a good job and worked hard to get our boiler replaced when the old one gave up the ghost in the winter. Also did a good job replacing all our plumbing in the basement and crawlspace in 2 working days. Kind of a strange name but don't worry, they are a really good plumbing and heating company and offer a 0% interest loan to pay for the bill."
