Customers say: Quick response

"Since we had squirrel damage on some electrical wiring in the attic, we hired them to first remove the old insulation so the electrician could more easily do the wiring repair. Cost more to remove the old stuff (old and worthless), but it saved $500 on the electrical work bill. After the electrical work was done, they came back and filled in the attic with R49. The guys doing the the removal and installation work were great, and it went quickly and efficiently. Terry was a good guy to work with for estimates and scheduling, and Brian for invoicing. Overall, we are very happy. Wish that work with all home contractors went this well."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

When hiring a pro in Aurora, ensure they have experience with local building types and are familiar with regional energy efficiency standards. Verify that they carry proper insurance and hold certifications for energy rebate programs. Request references from recent Aurora projects and confirm professional accreditations. Be wary of unsolicited offers or high-pressure sales tactics. A trustworthy contractor will provide clear communication and a documented business presence.

Helpful?

Completing insulation projects in Aurora provides immediate benefits like improved home comfort, lower heating and cooling bills, and eligibility for energy efficiency rebates. Over time, you’ll notice increased property value, less strain on your HVAC system, and enhanced noise reduction. Quality insulation also helps protect against ice dams, hail, and moisture intrusion, which are especially important for homes in Aurora’s unique climate conditions.

Helpful?

In Aurora, most attic insulation projects are completed within one to two days, while wall or whole-home insulation may take three to five days, depending on home size and project scope. Local permit approvals and material deliveries are typically efficient, but high demand during peak seasons or unexpected weather can extend timelines. Planning ahead helps ensure your insulation project stays on schedule and improves your home’s energy efficiency.

Helpful?

In Aurora, homeowners may encounter hidden costs such as additional air sealing, upgrading ventilation, or addressing electrical issues discovered during installation. Code compliance might require vapor barriers or fire-rated materials, and permit or inspection fees can arise unexpectedly. Removing old insulation, improving access to tight spaces, or dealing with mold can also add to the project scope. It’s wise to budget extra for unforeseen challenges.

Helpful?

In Aurora, homeowners should account for the city’s semi-arid climate, which brings wide temperature swings, strong winds, and low humidity. Prioritizing air sealing is essential to prevent drafts and heat loss. Check local building codes, secure necessary permits, and review any HOA guidelines. Scheduling insulation projects during spring or fall can help avoid weather-related delays and ensure optimal energy efficiency and home comfort.
