"It went very well, thanks to Nathen and his workers. They cleaned up the trash everyday when they finished the work. The work was done in the time frame they gave me with no hold ups at any point. I already recommended to s friend of mine."

Customers say: True professional

"We decided to remodel our outdated bathroom, and McCormick Home Builders was a fantastic choice. Khaled and the team delivered high-quality work within the timeline and our budget. Every detail, from the tile work to the lighting, was beautifully done. They communicated well throughout, keeping us informed at every step, and the end result was truly a spa-like bathroom we can enjoy daily. We’d love to work with them again!"

"This is my first time working with a contractor and didn’t know what to expect. Overall, I am happy with the work and the team became more like family. I wasn’t happy all the time, and it took longer than expected, but when I expressed it, Gino was quick to make the changes happen even being hands on some of the time. I don’t know what else are out there, since they are my first and only remodel team, but I’m thankful I choose this company to remodel my entire - now beautiful - home."

"When we purchase our house, we did a big remodeling that included most of the common areas and we left few other spaces that we wanted to remodel but we left it for later time due to short budget. Remodeling our master bathroom was not easy an task, so 2 years after we completed that remodeling, we decided to go ahead and remodel that bathroom. The biggest issue was to find the perfect contractor for our project, and we agreed to hire Trig builders. Our decision to hire them was because of a referral that we got from a good friend of ours. Yossi and his workers really took the time to listen and were very patient with us during the work. When the new bathroom was completed and delivered to us, we were so happy with the new look and the transformation. The most favorite spot in the new bathroom is the Jacuzzi tub and the glass walk-in shower with the dual shower heads. Although we are truly impressed with the new look and feel of the bathroom, my wife's favorite spot is the walk-in closets that attached to the bathroom and including an amazing built in closets and shoe shelfs. Our new bathroom and closet are really a must to see in order to understand the quality and how good the design was. Yossi and Trig builders were absolutely amazing and made our dream house a definite reality..Thanks guys"

"We had Vulcan Build complete our condo project to remodel our kitchen, install new windows, and lighting. Michael was a fast and responsive contractor to work with! They're very competitive in the market for those on a tight budget, while still having overall good quality of labor and materials. They finished on time and did a good job cleaning everything up at the end. Everybody on their team had a lot of experience, and could be trusted to work around our cats for part of the project."

"We just had two bathrooms completely remodeled by Universal Home Design. Ouriel was professional and helpful through every stage from design through final inspection. We felt comfortable with him from the first meeting. He was quick to respond to every question or concern. We were kept informed about work schedule and the crews were prompt and hardworking. Their workmanship is excellent. We were very pleased with the bathrooms and will work with Universal Home Design for our upcoming kitchen remodel."

Storm Shelters questions, answered by experts

Tiny house living requires creative solutions to the one biggest issue: space. Many people in tiny houses find life most manageable if they practice minimalism. Eliminating excess items and clutter makes the living space feel bigger, which can be a significant mood booster. It can also be challenging to get utilities arranged for a tiny house, and building and zoning codes can and often do present unique challenges to overcome.

Whether a prefab home is worth it or not will depend on your personal needs and preferences. Overall, prefab homes tend to cost less than traditional homes, although they also tend to have lower resale values. Another thing to consider is that prefab homes usually last 50 to 60 years or longer, while traditional homes last 50 to 100 years or more.

Building a tiny house is the least complicated way to build, especially if you’re tackling the project as a DIY. The smaller size means less complex plans, more straightforward utility installation, and fewer ways to make costly errors. Tiny homes still need to conform to building codes and often have other applicable regulations, so be sure to get the proper permits and confirm your build is by the book.

Yes, particularly handy DIYers can build their own storm shelter, especially when using a prefabricated kit and an existing space. However, it is a large project that can take several weeks, requiring significant manual labor and heavy equipment. For these reasons, hiring a professional is often recommended. You should always leave certain jobs to a pro, such as installing an underground shelter, projects requiring site excavation, or any custom-designed structures. These types of builds are complex, labor-intensive, and can cost more in the long run if not executed properly.

You can customize your storm shelter to any depth, but you’ll want to pay special attention to the water table on your property. Avoid installing an in-ground storm shelter less than 10 feet from the mean sea level, as this can lead to leaks. Get in touch with a storm shelter builder for a professional recommendation on how deep yours should be.
