He did not pay his suppliers and we were hit with a mechanics lien. It cost us $700 to file a cross suit against him.

A 25 YEAR WARRANTEE IS USELESS IF SOMEONE SKIPS TOWN!!! NIGHTMARE!!! Did not do flat roof work correctly. Tried endlessly to get him to repair pooling where they didn't bother to check the drainage level. Multiple complaints while his crew was here, to no avail. Did not fully cover under the roof caps which was one of the main things he was supposed to do.Did not finish flashing under window that now leaks. Always late, more often did not show up at all because he was starting solar installation work with Home Depot. That was more important than my job. LOTS of excuses. Had leaks with first rain in Feb. and he was nowhere to be found. All his phone #'s were dead including every single one listed on your website plus other numbers I had acquired. The one that a woman answered that was supposedly his office (800-881-6299/ 323-726-1272) said she had no idea where he was or basically who he was. I've had to pay other people (State Restoration) thousands of dollars to repair leaks, and re-do drywall and painting where the ceilings leaked. STAY AWAY! If you use him, - you've been warned. I found him on this site. His ratings were very good, then in Feb. he disappeared from this site, and I'm writing now because he's back, or at least his listing is. JD Pacific Palisades

Vince replaced a flat roof section due to leaks. We were initially very impressed with his responsiveness and the apparent quality of his work. However that satisfaction did not last. It continued to leak afterwards and initially when we contacted him he came out promptly and tried to find the cause, but when we had heavy rains in the winter of 2010 and it still leaked, we called him and emailed him and got no response. to either attempt to contact him. Bottom line, we spent money and still have a leaky roof and a missing roofer.

When I called Vince, he was on his way to another job. He took my number and told me he would call the following day and gave me an approx time. When I spoke to Vince the following day as scheduled, he informed me that he would be tied up on the other job, but would send someone out to take a look at it. The person who came out took a look at my roof and called Vince on the spot to tell Vince where the leak was. Vince gave me a price over the phone with a guarantee. I knew I was close to having to replace my roof. Vince told me my options, but NEVER once tried to push me to try and replace it. I opted to just repair the leak. Vince gave me a more than far price and it was fixed it on the spot. I had to leave to visit a friend in the hospital so I wasn?t able to stay for the job to be completed. Vince said they would stay and do the job and told me to just mail him the money. When I mailed the payment, I apparently put the wrong address on the envelope and it was returned in the mail about two weeks later. I re-mailed the payment and called Vince to tell him what happened. He was so kind and so understanding. When I finally have to break down and replace my roof Vincent Fascio Roofing will definitely have my business.

He was supposed to come out between 12-1pm. He showed up at 2:30. He was here about 30 minutes and I asked for 3 different bids because he had spoken of different options. I requested a hard copy of the estimates. When he left he left all of his information and papers in my driveway. I called him and left him a message that he had left his portfolio. I haven't heard back from him.

We were given an estimate 6 weeks ago. I called Vince and asked it the price was still good and he honored it with no hassles at all. A nice man to deal with!

The work went really well. Overall I am very happy with them.

Vince was always friendly and eager to please and he and his crew were extremely courteous, professional and quick. The end product looks fantastic and was done at a very competitive price (we got estimates from several roofers).

Overall, this job went extremely well. This review is long overdue although it doesn't mean I haven't told everyone who would listen about the great job Vince and his guys did repairing my roof. I contacted Vincent, during that terrible series of storms we had in January because the ceiling in my back bedroom had developed a horrible leak. Now, I had called another roofer -- who is highly rated here -- to come out and give me an estimate before calling Vince. We had an appointment, but he never showed up. No cancellation call, nothing. So, I looked-up a few other roofers and Vince was one of them. He and an employee came out that afternoon and boy, what a blessing he was. Vince must've seen how panic stricken I was at the thought of having my roof repaired/replaced because he was so kind and patient with me. He really took his time and explained everything that was going on with the roof; and although I was told by someone else I needed to have the entire roof replaced, Vince explained that most of my problems were around the flashing and a couple of other areas. After reassuring me I had some time left on my existing roof he presented me with a couple of options to remedy the situation. His crew came out the next morning, so I wouldn't be impacted by the storm that was moving in that night and I haven't had a problem since.

I called Vince during the rainy season after noticing water stains in the ceiling of a 50-year old add-on room. He called back quickly to warn me that he was swamped with work and couldn't promise a quick estimate or repair. Nevertheless, he was able to send someone to take a look within a couple of days and a few days after that he came himself and spent a few hours making the necessary patches. He finished as the next storm hit--without any apparent leaking--and even called back to make sure everything was ok with my roof. I was very impressed. I only took away points on price because I don't know how good or bad the price really was, but considering the urgency, I'm not complaining at all. Thanks Vince!

This is a follow-up to the comments I wrote regarding the leaky skylights. The areas near the skylights that Vince repaired is working great. No leaks at all during the recent heavy storms. However, we noticed a small leak near the kitchen vent when the rain was especially heavy. I called Vince to come and looked at it. He found that the original roofer did not install the vent area properly, allowing the rain water to seep through when the rain is heavy and accompanied by strong wind. He corrected the problem and emailed me the before and after pictures. There has been a pretty big storm since the repair and the area was completely dry. He did not charging us for the repair even though he probably spent well over an hour on it including travel time. Needless to say, I am completely satisfied with Vince and wouldn't call anyone else for future roofing jobs.

Vince showed up on time and completed the work on schedule over the 3 days required for the job. The best thing was that after the work was completed and thoroughly tested--as well as paid for in full--Vince came back on his own time after a heavy storm system and made sure that everything was working properly. He came back yet again to check up on a portion of the roof that was not contracted for and made minor repairs on an unrelated manner. Vince is one of the best contractors I've ever had the experience of working with.

Vince is a rare professional. He went way way above and beyond the call of duty for us. I found him on Angie's List and he returned every call I made to him, every email very promptly, he kept us in the loop the whole time. He even sent us digital photos of the daily progress. No kidding. I'd recommend him to my parents in a heartbeat. I had price compared before hiring him and he gave us the best price for the most comphrehensive, most quality type of work. I give him an A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ He does NOT sub out. he is onsite the whole time. The work only took 3 days. it was simply AWESOME. Thank you so much Vince!

We had some bad leaks around the skylights due to the shoddy workmanship by the roofer who replaced the roof. We had hired a couple of roofers to fix the leaks with no success. After finding out about Angie's List, we contacted two roofers who have the highest ratings. One proposed a major re-do while the other wanted to do a simple patch job. Neither of them was willing to guarantee that the leaks would be fixed. Then I called Vince Fascio. He explained to me what the problem was and where the leaks are likely to be. He proposed to re-do the areas around the skylights and explained how he was going to do everything. His price was reasonable compared to the other estimates and he was willing to guarantee the leaks would be fixed. We decided to hire him. Vince has a bit of old school in him. He does the work himself with a couple of helpers. He pays attention to detail and is very thorough. Watching him work is like watching a craftsman plying his trade. Seeing how he lay out the roofing materials, I could see how exactly the rain water would be guided down and away from the skylights. I was confident that the leaks would be fixed before he was half way through. We've had a couple of moderate rains since he finished the job. So far, we haven't seen a drop of leak yet. I am very happy with the quality of Vince's work. I recommend him highly.

We had recently moved into our house and the first time it rained we discovered that a flat roof over an extension leaked in 2 places. After struggling with the warranty company and their contractors, including one roofer who patched the wrong area and another who tried to defraud us, we phoned Vince. He came round that day and gave us a quote to repair the roof. Late that evening I received an email from him, where he had reduced the price significantly. I phoned him back the next day, and he was able to come out later that morning and complete the work. Although it hasn't rained again (yet), the 15 month warranty gives me a lot of confidence, and will get us through 2 winters. He is very responsive, gives you a good feeling that he knows what he's talking about, and is also just lovely to deal with. He said he reduced the price as he knows that we'll need to do more major work sooner or later (the end caps and flashing have gone on the main roof, and that flat roof will continue to limp along) and so wants be in the running when we do that work. He definitely will be.

This was by far the best construction experience I've ever had. Vince Fascio is professional, congenial, and responsive. I found him to be a very trustworthy and customer service oriented contractor who takes great pride in his work and ensuring the customer is completely satisfied. All questions were thoroughly addressed; no surprises. The job site was kept very clean with all debris hauled away daily; left completely clean and neat at the end of the job. I highly recommend this company for any roofing job you might have, large or small.

It was raining, on a weekend and we called Victor. He came out the same day and repaired our leaky roof for a VERY reasonable price. He was on time and prepared with the right equipment. We asked him to come back (when it wasn't raining) to do a complete "roof checkup" and that was done efficiently and also reasonably priced. Victor was professional and courteous and we would definitely recommend him! Thanks a bunch, Victor!

WOW! Vince deserves not just an "A" but an "A+++"! Really impressed with the job, overall! Very neat job when finished, all materials where hauled away, the portion of the pitched roof that had to be removed to install the flashing for the spot where the roof-to-wall meet was neatly and properly replaced. Vince even replaced those singles with new singles and he didn't charge us for that. All seals done around the vents was done very neatly and looks really clean and well sealed! Vince also gave us a one-year warranty on the repair work which you may not always get. Vince is a very personable and friendly person, and his estimates are very well detailed and complete. I definitely recommend Vince; you will not be disappointed! Vince really values his customers!

HE HAD DONE SEVERAL JOBS FOR ME OVER 5 YEARS FOR SEVERAL DIFFERENT PROPERTIES. MY HUSBAND SAYS, TREAT IT LIKE IT'S YOUR OWN AND DO IT RIGHT, WELL THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID. IT WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER! HE IS NEAT CLEAN, COURTEOUS, AND PROFESSIONAL. HE IS A PLEASURE TO RECOMMEND.

Vince was extraordinarily patient searching for the source of two leaks. He changed out the scupper of one relatively new roof and had to lower the roof level surrounding the scupper to drain properly. Then he blended the repair to the existing roof and re-sealed it. He also sealed around all the suspicious areas of the HVAC ductwork and sealed about 30feet of another area that had separated between two buildings. We ve just come through two days of solid drenching rain without any leaks and minimal pooling on the flat roof. He called me twice to follow-up after the first small rain and again after the second bigger storm. He really did everything humanly possible to fix the leaks and I feel confident that he ll be there if the repairs need follow-up in the future. Vince is very easy to talk to, he listens carefully and is very patient, calm and thorough -- really a nice guy. I have more work for him on other commercial flat roofs so I hope he doesn't get too busy from Angie's List. :)

I called Vince on Monday and he said he'd come out at 7am the next morning. He said he'd bring a tarp if it wasn't a quick fix so we could stay dry in the coming storms. He called later that day to say his truck broke down and would have to push back his morning arrival time as he'd have to wait for a crew member to pick him up. He called in the late morning to say he'd try to make it later in the day and gave me an excuse that I cannot remember. He showed up in the afternoon and checked out the work. He returned on Wednesday and made the repairs to the roof while I was at work. I couldn't tell where the hole had been in the roof because the shingles he installed matched so well. I was impressed that he was able to get the roof fixed so quickly and just in time before a big storm came. I didn't mind that he was late and pushed back his arrival times as I had taken a few days off of work and was just working in the house so his constantly changing schedule did not inconvenience me.

Unlike most other roofing contractors, Vince, a very experience roofer and roofing consultant, did most of the work himself along with another very experienced licensed roofer. Vince was present during tear off and ensured that everything was clean. Vince's cleanliness and attention to detail borders on obsessive! Vince personally re-pitched and repaired a problematic valley that leaked for many years. He spend almost a day tearing off the valley alone, which had about 6 layers of previous handyman patching. Vince also put 3" metal around the gables at no extra charge. The 2" metal that roofers normally install would not have covered the wood entirely. Even my neighbor, an engineer, was impressed by this. This is one of the many examples of Vince's attention to detail. He not only installs your roof, but takes care of you like a friend/family. Vince spent more time than anyone else explaining things even before I signed the contract. Above all, Vince is a nice guy that cares.

Excellent. Vince was referred by a relative and his rate was competitive and lower than other offers. Work was done in a timely manner (1 1/2 days) and the hips blend well with the remainder of the roof.
