"Aly's team did a fantastic job. They pulled weeds, cleaned up pathways, pruned our shrubs and trees. I got a real chance to look at there job, 3-4 weeks after they did it and realize that not only did they do what I needed, but the job they did on trimming our trees is the best job we've had in years. Definitely want them back."

"I have had our enormous Chinese Elm tree trimmed many times, and never has the job been done as expertly as Jake's Landscaping and Tree Services. I was 99.9% certain I would hire Luis's company based on his visit to give me an estimate. Manny others have years of experience and great reviews. What sets Luis's company apart is how he treats his employees, his philosophy of investing in them and treating them well. Jose and his team did a beautiful job of trimming the tree and removing ivy and jasmine roots from the side of our house, and left the area devoid of any sign that work had been done. No errant branches or even twigs left behind. There was a friendly comraderie among them. The cost was very fair."

"I recently hired GP Tree Services to remove a large tree from the front of my home, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, their team was outstanding every step of the way. They arrived on time, assessed the job thoroughly, and explained the process clearly. The crew worked quickly and safely, ensuring that surrounding structures and landscaping were protected throughout the removal. Their equipment was top-notch, and their expertise was evident in how seamlessly they handled the job. What stood out the most was their commitment to leaving my property spotless. After the tree was removed, they cleaned up every bit of debris, making it look as if the tree had never been there! If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled tree service company, I highly recommend them. They exceeded my expectations in every way, and I will definitely call them again for any future tre"

"Excellent service. Knowledgeable about trees and the best time to trim/prune. (He advised to wait to prune for health of the tree rather that do the job at the moment..) Have used Bama's for several years. Crew is careful about under plantings to avoid damage. Courteous and hardworking. Highly recommend."

Customers say: Quick response

"I really wanted to find a company that I can use every time I need tree services, without having to go through multiple bids. I will use Agri-Con again. I also really wanted the work done exactly to my preferences - of course, I want to hear recommendations for better alternatives, if there are any. That is what I got, and I am happy with their work. Could it have been cheaper, I think so, but I was willing to maybe pay a little more to get what I wanted. They did a good job of cleaning up, and they did not rush through the job, and did careful work."

"I was contacted by Eli just after I put a request for prices to do the above work. He made an appointment for the next morning. After I made the decision to hire him, he started the work on the following Monday. He removed two 60 ft. trees. He and his crew were extremely organized and efficient with their time. Trees were removed along with all debris. The cleanup of the both front and backyards were great. I would highly recommend him for work and plan on having him back to prune fruit trees at the proper time."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Poison oak is similar to poison ivy in that it's in the same family of plants. Poison oak is identifiable by its rounded-off leaves and hairy leaf texture. Tree-climbing varieties live primarily in western states while low-growing poison oak bushes occupy the eastern states. Treat poison oak like poison ivy to get rid of it permanently.

Grinding down a tree helps reduce the risk of foundation damage and pests and even helps your home’s curb appeal. Stumps can also be a safety hazard. If grass grows above the stump and someone else mows your yard, they may be in for a rude awakening when they accidentally hit it.

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

We don’t recommend DIY tree trimming for a few different reasons. First, the tools required to trim a tree can be costly, up to $1,100 or more, for the ladders and specialized saws needed.

Safety is another concern, especially when working with more mature trees. As a guideline, you should only DIY tree trimming when branches are less than two inches in diameter. Any more, and the safety risk becomes too high, which could lead to catastrophe. For this job, it’s safest to let a tree-trimming professional assess the work needed.

Some people prefer to leave or even carve a leftover stump, but we recommend removing it if possible. You can often dig out smaller trunks with a shovel once they have died and dried out. You can have stumps professionally removed, or request a service to grind them down to ground level so they can be replaced with other landscaping or objects.
