"Our roof was in bad shape and we needed to have it replaced. I had gotten estimates and decided to go with Home Pro Remodeling. Emil and Brian were our contact people for the project. Emil was very professional and paid attention to our concerns. He worked with us through the entire project to our complete satisfaction. Brian is extremely courteous and helpful as well! The project went very smoothly, was completed before the initial project end date, and the results were beyond our expectations. The job turned our beautifully! Our new roof looks FANTASTIC! Our neighbors have commented to us how great it looks. We are very pleased with our experience with Home Pro Remodeling and would definitely recommend them."

"Cork's has offered the best customer service and cleaning solutions to me and our family of 4 in regards to all the flooring in our home. We have carpet in the bedrooms, hardwood flooring downstairs, granite in the kitchen and marble in both bathrooms. The marble in the bathrooms were covered in hard water stains and soap streaks. They were able to clean, polish and seal the marble restoring it to its original shine and smoothness. They were able to remove a rust stain on the white marble as well. Adrian and Angel were punctual and very careful moving my antique furniture and using furniture blocks and shoe covers to protect our freshly cleaned floors. They even left us a few pairs of the shoe covers before they were finished to insure cleanlines Cork also specializes in fire and water damage remediation so when our water heater burst we called the best. My experience with Cork in all aspects of cleaning and remediation has been beyond fantastic. These folks really get the job done!!!!"

"They were on time and gave good advice about what would be best for our situation. We had one carpet area in family room somewhat heavily soiled from traffic running from garage to kitchen and had deep cleaning for that section. Other areas had light cleaning. They were friendly and efficient in getting the work done. They also gave us realistic expectations of what lighter colored carpets would look like after the cleaning. We were given shoe covers so that we could still walk over the wet areas until they dried. They did a great job!"

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

Wood floors should be polished every two to four months to maintain a shine and to keep them protected from daily wear and tear. More frequent maintenance includes dry mopping the floors daily and cleaning spills immediately, using a spray mop and cleaner weekly to remove any built up dirt or grime, and sanding and refinishing the floors every three to five years.

Buffing will only remove scratches at the surface level of your flooring. You may also need to apply hardwood floor wax to restore the wax layer. To remove deeper scratches, you’ll need another floor repair method like sanding; however, if you sand the floor, you’ll also need to stain and seal it.

Professionals use various tools and cleaning solutions based on the type of floor they’re cleaning. They often use industrial steam cleaners to pull debris out of the carpet. For localized stains, they may use a commercial cleaner or a mixture of water, vinegar, and dish soap. For tile, they’ll typically use dish soap and hot water, plus a mixture of baking soda and hot water for the grout. For cleaning wood floors, they might use a low-heat steamer, a mop with an oil wood floor cleaner, or a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and lemon juice.

To properly maintain natural stone surfaces, use pH-neutral cleaners for regular cleaning and avoid acidic substances that can cause damage or etching. It is also important to reseal the surfaces periodically, especially for porous stones, to protect the finish, maintain appearance, and ensure longevity.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.
