Elegant Floors

We were very fortunate to work with Scott and Elegant Flooring during our recent full house remodel of our Aptos home. Scott is great to work with, he is very knowledgable, detailed oriented, honest and , responsive. Our house had difficult sub flooring condition with uneven floors, transitions between multiple type of sub flooring and unique wood stairs. Scott was able to figure out all the details, give us a fair bid and guide us through the entire process. The crew that did the work was led by Ruben who is an outstanding professional that takes great care to do an amazing job and the results speaks for themself. We highly recommend Elegant flooring for the quality of the business, for Scott’s great support, for their fair pricing and mostly for the beautiful floors that you will enjoy for many years.

All of the work done was completed in 7 days. The work was totally satisfactory.
There was a scheduling mix up that delayed the work by about 1 day. Not a huge problem.
There was minimal dust due to their dust collection system. There was a plastic curtain erected to keep dist out of the rest of the house when they were sanding the floors. They were careful to dust off all objects in the room before they left.
They carefully matched the new stain on the floors were the newly finished floor joined the existing patina of the old floors.
All of the new moldings and transition pieces were installed and stained exactly as we had specified.
We felt with the amount of work done, the price was very fair.
All in all they did a great job.

We used them several years ago to resurface our living room and dining room floors. They provided excellent service, so we had them back. Again, they were professional, punctual and did an excellent job. They worked with us to get the best stain match
and were finished on time.

I choose Elegant Floors because of the attention to detail of the
estimator, Scott. He spent a lot of time examining the existing floors,
asking questions, and making solid suggestions as to how to approach the
job. His terrific crew not only refinished the hardwood floors but
repaired and replaced some of the wood parquet, baseboards, and
reducers. The dust free sanding system they used factored into my
decision, too.It was tremendous. I was amazed at how little dust
remained in the house following sanding. The finished product looks
great. I was impressed enough with their service, that I also had the
company clean my carpet. Would certainly use their services again.

Scott made it to the estimate appointment on time. We just took some carpeting up and wanted a coating on our wood floors to protect them and make them shine a little. Scott told me that to make them look great he'd recommend a full sanding. But I persisted on just doing the coating for now and he happily gave me a fair estimate. We wanted the work done immediately so we could move back into the room. He arranged for a crew the next day (Saturday.) He and the crew showed up on time at 8am and worked diligently to finish the job by 10:30am. Nice guys. They put down paper in the hallway so they would not track up our floors. As Scott told me the floors don't look new, but they do look a lot better and even better than the expectations he set. We're very happy and will be calling Scott when we need work done in the future.

Elegant Floors is amazing. We recently bought an older and quot;fixer-upperand quot; home which we've been gradually improving before move-in, but more than any other single job, Elegant Floors' refinishing of our hardwood floors has literally transformed the home.

You will not be disappointed with their quality service, flawless job, professionalism, and attention to detail. When Scott came out to provide an initial (free) estimate, he spent at least 45 minutes with us, walking through the house and pointing out different options that Elegant Floors could provide in addition to just refinishing the floors (such as covering open floors grates that were no longer in use and replacing the worn and cracked baseboards throughout the home).

Prior to their work, the floors were deeply gouged, scratched and worn. Although white oak, they were a dark dingy color. When we stepped into the house after Elegant Floors had finished, it was a TV and quot;Home Makeoverand quot; show! Many oohs and ahhhs. The new white baseboards looked beautiful, and you couldn't even tell where we previously had grates, holes and other major imperfections on the floor. The whole house was bright and shiny with freshly polished, gleaming hardwood floors! I'm pleased to say that after our move-in--in which we tromped in all our heavy furniture and our energetic dog--the floor finish has held up admirably.

In addition to the quality job, Elegant Floors communicated with us every step of the way (via phone and email) and promptly answered our questions. Their prices were competitive with other quotes we received, but we think we obtained the highest level of quality and service with Elegant Floors.
