"I would highly recommend Evans plumbing to everyone! Chris came to clear out our whole house sewer blockage.. He went above and beyond what was requested. He was very helpful with suggestions about what we could do to stop further problems in the future. The pricing was fair and there were no additional or hidden costs. When the job was finished he cleaned up so well that you could not tell there had just been a problem."

"The clogged toilet line work was very good. The job would have looked better with some more clean up around the area of removed caulking, soil, etc."

"Our front yard was a muddy mess. We had a Liquid Amber Tree removed by another company we thought was the culprit for the mess. It did solve one leak, however, we had a much larger leak still! Ugh!! Well, Honest Sewer & Drain's Dustin Heffington talked to us on the phone in length determining the company could help us with our absolute muddy mess and leak! Within just an hour of Dustin working on the problem, the leak was found and the solution was told to us. Dustin did an excellent job. He was very thorough and professional. By the end of the day, the leak was repaired and the ground cleaned up. Thank you very much!! If you need a plumber, do not hesitate to contact Honest Sewer and Drain!"

"Professional, courteous and kind. On time. Replaced valve cartridge in bathtub faucet. Thought the price was a bit high for work done but would hire again if I had a difficult plumbing problem."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Snaking a drain can take as little as a few minutes for small, simple clogs, up to two hours or more for tough clogs located further down the drain line. For tougher clogs, a professional drain cleaner can likely get the job done much more quickly because they have the necessary tools and expertise. However, your drain cleaning pro might not be able to give you a firm time estimate until inspecting the clog and its surrounding plumbing.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

You can unclog a double kitchen sink by plunging the side with the garbage disposal. Cover the drain hole on the other side first to avoid creating a mess. Plunge up and down until the water starts to drain. You can also pour in baking soda and vinegar to try and dissolve a clog.

This depends on the location of the blockage. If the blockage is in your home’s system, anywhere in the system, it is your responsibility as a homeowner. Blockages seldom happen because of items or buildup coming from the city, which means it originates in the home. It becomes the city’s responsibility at the exact point your home’s line distributes waste into the city’s system. The exception is if the problem in your home damages the city lines.

Never pour used motor oil down the drain. Doing so can have serious environmental consequences, including contaminating groundwater, endangering animals, and killing vegetation. It can also clog your pipes, causing backups in your plumbing or the wastewater treatment plant. In most places, pouring motor oil down the drain is illegal, whether you do it in your home or a storm drain.
