"Absolutely outstanding service from Go Pro Plumbing! I had a clogged drain that was causing a lot of trouble, and they showed up the same day I called. The team was friendly, skilled, and handled the issue in no time. They made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. I appreciated their honesty and transparency with the pricing. It's rare to find such reliable service these days. Highly recommend them to anyone needing quick and trustworthy plumbing help!"

"Matt is a professional. He finished the job quickly and took my old water heater away. Unfortunately, it was corroded and couldn't be emptied. Matt moved it full of water. I felt terrible, as it had to be heavy. He let me know I should drain my new water heater once a year and showed me how to do it before he left. His price was fair. It was a good experience."

"Jose arrived & went directly to work. Had the drains cleared in nothing flat. Then gave us recommendations for keeping the drains cleared. Very prompt. We also hired his company to install a new kitchen faucet set when another person messed up the one there. Again very impressed by the work ethos. Very refreshing."

"I received a text message from Mr. Drain Corp. within minutes of submitting my online request on Angi around 5:30am on a Sunday morning - very quick. Their dispatcher was friendly and professional and called me to schedule an estimate less than 3 hours later — around 8:20am — and had a service window of noon-4pm for a technician to visit and give us an estimate. We ended up using a different provider who was able to arrive by 8:40am that same Sunday morning, but I was impressed by the quick customer service provided by Mr. Drain Corp. and will keep them in mind for future plumbing needs!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Unlike regular cleanings, snaking your sewer line should be done as needed. There’s no reason to snake your sewer line if you don’t have any noticeable issues, like slow drainage or plugged drains. You can add it to your regular sewer cleaning checklist as a prevention method (on the same 18- to 22-month schedule), but it’s not always necessary.

If methods like hot water or a plunger don’t work on your clogged drain, you can snake your drain to dislodge the plug. This can be a messy process, taking some physical effort and additional time over the other drain-clearing options. You can purchase a drain snake at a hardware store and choose from handheld options or those attached to a drill. Just work slowly, and be ready to call a plumber if you’re unable to reach the clog from your drain or P-trap.

A plumber can get to the bottom of your smelly drain and clean it with specialized jets, hoses, and drain-safe cleaning solutions. It is also smart to call in a plumber if you suspect your drain smell is coming from a stubborn clog or even a leaky pipe.

Your sewer line can get grimy quickly. To prevent sludge buildup in your sewer line, pour a mixture of 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda down each drain in your home once a month. After about 30 minutes, flush the drain with hot water.

Some plumbers recommend 3/4 cup of bleach instead to clean any germs and bacteria that may build up in your sewer line. But this won’t break down any active clogs, and it cannot be combined with vinegar, as the mixture will create a toxic, hazardous gas.

Pouring drain cleaner down a vent pipe isn’t recommended. First of all, unlike a clog in a sink or bath caused by such material as soap scum build-up, toothpaste, and hair, clogs in a vent pipe are likely the result of debris from trees or even an animal stuck in the pipe. Drain cleaners won’t be able to eat through this kind of material. The cleaner will only become clogged in the vent with the debris, causing even more problems.
