"I recently had the pleasure of working with California Custom Pools (Danny) to build a pool in my backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. The design phase was a super fun and he patiently listening to my ideas and offering valuable insights to enhance the overall vision. They provided a detailed and transparent estimate. The construction process was impressively smooth and efficient. The team showed up on time, and their attention to detail was evident in every step. The quality of workmanship was great, and the final result is a stunning pool that perfectly complements my outdoor space. Throughout the project, communication was excellent. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly, and I always felt well-informed about the progress. The project was completed within the agreed-upon timeline and it turned out great. Not only did California Custom Pools create a beautiful pool, but they also left my backyard clean and tidy, showing respect for my property. I highly recommend California Custom Pools to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled pool contractor. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, combined with their expertise, sets them apart in the industry. I couldn't be happier with my new pool and the outstanding service provided by California Custom Pools (Danny)"

"Alex was able to readily solve unexpected problems when we replastered 50 year old indoor swimming pool. Concrete pool decking had to be jackhammered in order replace deteriorating copper pipes, pool drain and skimmer needed to be repositioned. Waterfall feature had to be repaired. Visual appearance of finished job was perfect. Would give Alex ten stars if possible!"

"Very responsive and friendly, Emi came out and gave a quote for pool maintenance. Was looking for someone who actually scrubs the pool in addition to clean filter/scoop leaves/balance pH, so that algae doesn’t build up. Good service!"

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Construction typically takes 3-6 months, including site preparation and assembly.

This is fairly rare, but sometimes the local government or a group like a historical society will label a tree as a landmark, or historical item. These designations almost always come with a small, on-site plaque for identification, but you should also be able to look up protected trees in your area on a city website or similar list. If the tree in question is a landmark, call your local government and ask how to proceed before making any plans.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.
