"Ron responded right away, and had his crew out within a few days. They refurbished and painted wood trim and balcony of our house, as well as two large fiberglass columns and the front door. Prep work included a whole house power wash. The crew filled any cracks and seams, matched the existing color perfectly, and scraped and sanded where necessary. All was done in one day in spite of 100+ degree temperature. A job well done in an expedient fashion. Good work! Highly recommend them."

"I ended up hiring Dave after having hired another company to do the job and getting a terrible result. Dave came out and spent the whole day fixing the mess that the other company had left and only charged me 1/2 price. Highly recommend Dynamic and will use them again whenever I need a power wash."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

Most powerwashing jobs take 2-6 hours, but larger buildings or areas with deep staining may require an entire day.

Yes, a pressure washer uses less water than a garden hose. There are many ways to use a pressure washer, and it can be an eco-friendly hose substitute. While a pressure washer expels water with greater force, it uses 50% to 70% less water than a garden hose. Specifically, hoses put out six to 10 gallons per minute (GPM), while pressure washers only use two to five GPM.

You can get more pressure out of your pressure washer by adjusting the pressure control knob clockwise to increase pressure (+). You can also check your nozzle for debris and clogs and remove anything you find with needle nose pliers. Switch to a nozzle with a lower-degree spray angle or a turbo nozzle to achieve more pressure at the tip. Check for leaks in the hose and connections, and make sure your water supply is offering enough pressure.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where it will be stored. If it's kept in a location where temperatures could drop to freezing, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage to the machine. To prevent this, you can add antifreeze to the pump. While emptying the machine with compressed air is an alternative, it can be a tedious process and may not remove all the liquid. If you can store the pressure washer in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, regardless of storage conditions, it is good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before storing it for the winter.

Yes, it is safe to use a pressure washer on your house, but the water pressure is very powerful. If you’re not careful, it can put a hole in your wall or cause injuries to yourself or others. But there are several pressure washing tips you can follow to pressure wash safely, including wearing safety gear at all times.
