"Crystal came, assessed and it wasn't the pump at all; it was another part as well as a hole that had developed in a hose. It only took two days to get the parts in.
Crystal was great -- she afforded me a late afternoon appointment so I didn't have to miss much work. She charged $65 to diagnose the issue, but this was applied back onto the final bill as a credit to the parts and labor.
Crystal was on time, very knowledgeable and didn't mind my hovering while she had the machine apart to determine the problem. She was more than willing to answer my questions.
Parts came in timely and we set the follow-up appointment. Again, she was on time and well prepared to get the job done. After installing the part, she ran my machine through thorough testing to make sure it had not been something else wrong.
Although Crystal is petite in stature, she had no problems moving my machines around to get to the top, back and front areas where parts were located. She left the area clean upon her departure. This is in a small, tightly arranged laundry room.
I thought so highly of her service that I asked for several cards to take to the office and recommend to coworkers.
If I have any further appliance repair needs, Crystal Aire will be the first company that comes to mind. I highly recommend this company. I might add, I found her on Angie's List myself.

"Emil showed up on time. He immediately diagnosed the problem and ordered the replacement part. When the replacement part arrived the next day, he installed it. He waited until the refrigerator was going back to operating temperature before leaving. We would use him on any appliance repair and wholeheartedly recommend Emil."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The pro was knowledgeable regarding the two appliance issues I had. He was able to fix one issue on his first issue, and gave good guidance towards handling the other. Ultimately, I had to replace an appliance, but I feel better about doing that having gone through a diagnostic on the appliance and being able to make an informed decision."

Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

To effectively service small appliances, perform routine checks for wear and tear, clean components regularly, and ensure all connections are secure.

In some cases, yes, portable air conditioners are worth buying. They’re a relatively affordable option for cooling small spaces. (On average, they cost between $100 and $500 per unit.) Plus, they’re easy to set up, and you can move them around to cool various parts of your home as needed. However, they aren’t the most efficient AC option, and they tend to be noisy.

Some types of electric fireplaces use more electricity than others. Models that produce 1,500 watts will have more of an effect on your heating bill than 750-watt models.

Electric fireplaces use an average of $1.85 of electricity every eight hours. These minimal operational costs aren’t likely to make a big difference in your electric bill—unless you’re using it as a primary heating source for your home and it’s running most of the time.

On average, a typical fridge uses 115 kWh per month. With eight hours of sunlight per day, a 100-watt solar panel can produce 30 kWh per month. This means you’ll need at least four dedicated panels to power the refrigerator with solar energy. Consult with a solar power specialist to get a more accurate estimate.

Air fryers circulate hot air throughout the cooking cavity, removing surface moisture from food to create a crispy exterior. This is meant to simulate the texture of deep-fried food without all the calories and health implications of eating food cooked in hot oil. Conventional (non-convection) ovens use heating elements on the top and bottom of the cooking cavity to heat and cook food.
