Best dumpster providers near Ripon, CA

Most municipalities allow dumpsters with proper permitting to sit on the street for up to a month, but you might need to file for extensions throughout that time to maintain your permit. You should always check with your local building department and your HOA if you’re a part of one to make sure you avoid fines.

Policies vary on what you can throw in a dumpster rental. Some companies will accept large appliances, although you may need to take steps to prepare the washer and dryer for disposal. Some companies don’t allow large appliances in their dumpsters at all, so it’s best to ask the rental company beforehand to find out what its policy is.

The smallest dumpsters typically available for rent are 2 cubic yards. These are ideal for small cleanup jobs, minor home remodeling projects, or decluttering a garage. A 2-cubic-yard dumpster can generally hold around 400 pounds and often measures about 6 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet high. The cost to rent one typically ranges from $75 to $200 per week.

For even smaller jobs, or as an alternative, you can consider a dumpster bag. These come in various sizes (often 2 to 5 cubic yards) and can cost between $100 and $180 per week. Other small dumpster types include commercial dumpsters (starting at 2 yards) and small roll-off dumpsters (which usually start at 10 yards).

It depends on the dumpster rental company. Some may allow you to put box springs in their dumpsters, while others may not. Ask your rental company before putting a box spring into the dumpster.
