I am a Chinese woman married 20 years to an American man and I have a Green card with permanent resident status. Until about 9 years ago I worked full time for 10 years as a waitress at Peter Chu's Skyroom restaurant in Redding. I left that job and tried housekeeping at several local inns and decided that wasn't what I wanted. I speak English adequately (my husband says quite well) . I work quickly and efficiently to get things accomplished. For the last 6 years or so I've made it a habit to travel to my hometown in China beginning in March and returning sometime in August. I do this to take care of my aging parents, cleaning, cooking, keeping them active, and making sure they get timely medical attention. I also spend many happy hours taking care of my 3 year old grand nephew.
