Robert A. Calvo, General Contractor
5.0
Robert is amazing. He genuinely has my best interest in mind, and his ideas are always on point. Where my grandiose plans would waste money, Robert will do it better and save me money. His attention to detail and his cleanliness is always top notch. He is the only contractor I feel comfortable using and definitely the only one I would allowed to do work in my elderly mother‘s home. Robert is a contractor with an high degree of integrity and professionalism and his work is spectacular

Jay and his crew were amazing! They were completely professional and very efficient!!! The house looks great. The paint quality is superior as well as the quality of their work. ABE INTERIORS

ABE Interiors is AMAZING!!!! We had years of deferred maintenance from before COVID hit that just got worse during the quarantines. ABE Interiors fixed everything! Doors that wouldn't open or close, drywall repair, window replacement, appliance installation, interior and exterior painting, numerous custom wood work projects, and more. There is nothing that Aaron can't do, he always does an amazing job, works fast and efficiently, and is extremely accommodating to priority changes and project scope increases. We highly recommend ABE Interiors and already have plans to work together again on some future projects

Tenorio's Construction and Handyman Service
5.0
The work completed during the initial agreement period was beyond expectation, leading to significant scope creep (my husband and I continue to be impressed; thus, continue to add to the long wish list). Thus far, we have new built-in cabinets in the living room and den with beautiful (and highly functional and durable) countertops and an opening between the two rooms for barstools on either side (perfect dining or family game surface). Manuel and Joaquin were instrumental in design and execution. The master bedroom is completely redone (lighting, floors, painting, baseboards, patch and texture, outlets) and the master bath is nearing completion from ceiling to floor with a new barn door installed between bedroom and vanity/shower area. No task too small or large. We have a new gate around our entryway that our four dogs and the rest of the fam enjoy immensely - many compliments from neighbors too. The Tenorio's attention to detail and focus on planning and brining to life practical (and aesthetically pleasing) solutions make this team unbeatable. They are great communicators, easy to work with and have great vision from the beginning to the end of a project - working as partners to solution beyond satisfaction - not salespeople. They take pride in their craftsmanship and quality. If you can hire them - don't hesitate. We will - again and again!

We want to thank you for the fantastic job you did remodeling our master bathroom these past three weeks. Considering all of the work that was required we couldn't believe that it could be done so quickly. But it was! Your team was absolutely amazing from the very first time they showed up through the last minute they were here. Always on time and ready to dig in every day. Their skill, experience and coordination between themselves and with us made for a smooth and efficient process. They were professional and courteous each and every day and kept the work-site clean and hazard free. We really appreciate their concern and efforts to make us 100% happy and would be pleased to recommend them and Dream Home Works to our friends, neighbors and family. Again, we sincerely thank you for a job well done

We decided to take on a 500+ sq foot addition and full remodel of our downstairs. With design and permit in hand, we began contacting contractors. What a headache! But once I got together with Mark C. from ADH, things ran unbelievably smoothly. Seriously, we just kept waiting for the ball to drop and it never did. In short, we did a full kitchen remodel, converted a laundry room to pantry, converted a bath to a laundry, renovated three other downstairs rooms, and the addition (living room, powder room, entry, and closet). We also redid the entire siding and updated all the windows. Mark thought there was a chance that we'd be done before Thanksgiving (I set my self up to be ecstatic if we were done by Christmas). The crew left us with our new full house for visitors at Thanksgiving sans interior trim work and a few other little touch ups. They came back over the holiday and knocked out the rest in a couple of days. I couldn't be more happy! Mark, the company owner, was our project manager and Mike G was his right hand man. They were great to work with. Very helpful, very concerned that things went well for us, and that we knew what was happening at all times. The real heroes were the team on the ground. Vlad and Peter were with us from the first day of the project to the last. They were the interior guys and really among the best people that I've ever worked with on any sort of project. Their attention to detail was amazing. This was a huge job and they rolled right on through it like the true professionals that they are. Vlad was great about communicating to me about their workflow and what I should expect to see coming next. Peter was painstakingly detailed about his trimwork and painting (he set a standard for masking our front door prior to painting that I'll certainly never live up to). They've been gone now for a few days and I'll admit I already miss my morning check-ins with them. Vlad and Peter weren't the only guys I want to thank. They had a few other guys that came in with them from time to time to help out on various parts of the interior work. The framing crew was amazing, they framed the addition in just a couple of days and took our paper plans and turned them into something really beautiful. The concrete team knocked out the foundation in just a couple of days (from excavation to pour) and then came back to add a very nice little porch toward the end. The drywall, texture, and HVAC teams were also spot on. What's amazing was how coordinated everything was. For this, I thank Mark and Mike. Admittedly, Mark did say that the timing of things was particularly good, but come on... 12 weeks from first demo to sign off? That's a QUALITY team... I recommend HIGHLY

The job was turn our side yard into a bedroom, closet and 3/4 bath, maximizing the space to the city's set-back. Of the three contractors I discussed the project with, only Vlad (the owner) saw my real idea - to get the largest space available keeping the city's regulations in mind. America Dream HomeWorks (ADH) service and price included architectural design and plans. They drafted not only the addition, but also the entire house because the city required it. They listened to and incorporated design elements that were important to us. ADH did quality work at every stage - laying the concrete foundation, framing, interior and exterior walls (adding upgraded insulation at no charge), some tricky plumbing and electrical work and all the finish work. Part of our job including redoing the flooring from the front room and extending it into the addition - fantastic job there! Also they did outstanding work on the bathroom, going above our simple vision by adding their marble counter and shower walls, quality tile and super cabinetry. Probably the most impressive part of their work was matching the existing construction, which is really difficult. Vlad heard that this was important to us and was conscientious at every stage. ADH matched the stucco pattern, drywall texture, tiling and interior door style. Their stucco guy added stucco pop outs which tie directly into the existing stucco - entirely seamless! When it turned out they could not match my rain gutter, they demoed the existing and replaced it with new, quality and matching gutters. Every time someone looks at our addition, they comment has that isn't apparent that it was added, at all. Very satisfying to hear! We ended up having a leak after the fact in the new plumbing due to settling. It happens with new construction sometimes. The ADH plumber was out the next day, repairing and replacing. It's working perfect now as before and I'm confident ADH will continue to provide great service through their warranty. Construction was slow in starting and slow in the final stages, overall taking about twice as long as we anticipated. Given ADH did fantastic work, listened closely to our needs and came in at the quoted price, punctuality was not for us an overwhelming factor. Last thing, and very important to me, is cost. They were amongst the lowest cost bidders and yet offered more (like in-house drafting and planning) than any other contractor we looked. The ADH quote was what we paid, and the guys were super helpful in adding stuff like hanging a fan that wasn't in the original agreement. Can I recommend them? Well, I already have to a good friend. And I'd recommend them to anyone who asked. We are very happy in our addition. In fact, I'm writing this review sitting in it right now :

"Our tile contractor gave him our name to give us an estimate on the work we wanted done on renovating both our bathrooms floor to ceiling. He made an appointment with us that he confirmed, kept & arrived on time. At that time I had a plan to switch the master shower with the toilet to give us a larger shower in the corner. Guy suggested another way to make our shower bigger, more user friendly & not move doors & make more work. His contract stated that it would take 35 work days or nearly 6 weeks to complete all the work. It also specified when we would make payments & how much work would be done prior to payments. We understood there may be a couple of things not covered in the contract because they could not see under the tub or in the walls behind tile. We approved the plan & he came back a week later with a comprehensive computer generated estimate that was twice the budget we had hoped to stay within. We had previously had another bid that was not in writing, not specific & half the price. We agreed to the bid of Hernandez Construction because it covered everything in each bath, each closet, each door, and each wall. The bid was totally specific as to who was responsible for purchasing every building supply & fixture we wanted. We were purchasing some of our items through Direct Buy so we were responsible for those & it was noted on the contract. We signed the contract because it was so thorough & we felt like he was completely honest & above board with every issue.
We were called prior to work starting & told what to remove from what area & how to make the house more accessible by taking down pictures, shelves & accent pieces in the hall so they didn't get knocked down during demolition or work on the rooms. On Sept. 13, 2010 the work was started at 8:00 am. Guy's father, Guy Senior & Gabriel showed up to tear out the entire bathrooms. They covered our wood floor with paper, our carpet with plastic & put up plastic sheeting walls to confine as much dust & mess as possible. Every day they showed up on time, worked all morning, took their lunch outside sitting on the concrete steps. I finally couldn't stand the thought of them working so hard & not being comfortable during lunch that I gave them each a folding patio chair to sit in during lunch. Every evening when they left my house was as neat as it could possibly get with all the work going on & all our things scattered over the house. They also put their working materials, folding chairs & tools either in their trailer or our garage. They left my yard clean & picked up any mess they had made. We needed a toilet in our master for a few days so they worked mostly on the hall bath. They were here every day for at least 3 weeks before the tile contractor was contacted to take measurements for tile & granite countertop installation. Both these men & the younger Guy were very respectful, listened to any concern I had, never swore, never raised their voices to each other, never spoke Spanish in front of us & just listened to a soft radio & laughed at times. We felt they were totally trustworthy. We left our home many times during this renovation (sometimes for days at a time) & were never concerned about our home or possessions. We have two very nosey, playful dogs that wanted to play with the workers. We had to put them out on the patio & lock their dog door so they wouldn't be in the way. When we were not at home the guys left our house locked, alarm set, & dogs in with their door open. They were very easy to work with. When I had a question about an electrical plug fixture that we had agreed to which wasn't in one day, Senior called Junior & within minutes we had a fixture in the exact spot where I had wanted it. Turns out it was misstated in the contract to put a fixture at each sink instead of 2 in each bathroom. Sinch our master only had one sink it was confusing for Senior. I was in the bathroom & bedroom many times observing what was going on & they patiently explained what they were doing & why. We now have two beautiful bathrooms that came out better than we had expected thanks to this crew. Any time I had a question that the guys on scene couldn't answer they called the owner Guy Junior & got an answer for me. This renovation came in 4 days over the budgeted time because the tile contractor had a problem with personnel & held it all up for more than a week. It also came in only $250. over budget because we had to purchase a couple items that were not seen until the sheetrock, tubs & tile were removed. We were approaced on this cost & agreed to it before it was undertaken. If I could afford it I would have this crew here every day to update the rest of my home. When we get the money saved to update our kitchen we will definitely use them again. Believe me thay are trustworthy, kind, caring, wonderful to have around & work with & a joy to have in your home. Anyone is at liberty to call me or come & see the work done in our home. Guy can give you our phone number. You can't go wrong with this construction company.

"Fantastic, I could not recommend this company more, Lon was very attentive to what I was saying during our walk through so he could find the right solution to our problem. We replaced approx 30% of the T-11 siding on my house in Antelope, replaced all the trim affected by dry rot and replaced the windows/slider. As they were sealing the new windows we could already tell the difference in the noise and how warm the sun felt through the glass. Brian was the lead installer for the windows and Ken for the siding project and they extremely knowledgeable and were fine with working around our 3 big dogs who had to go outside for bathroom breaks.

"Prompt & really easy to work with. Repair work looks great!"
I enjoy providing home improvement craftsmanship! Much of my childhood was spent building things in the garage with my Dad. Later, I attended CSU Sacramento where I earned a BS in Construction Engineering Management. I spent the first twelve years of my career working for a steel fabricator as a project manager. I missed the satisfaction of working with my hands, so I ventured out on my own and started Build Craft Inc. Build Craft Inc. is a licensed General Contractor specializing in handyman..
