My daughter wanted to sell her house and, as she was already overwhelmed with work, asked me to come to her rescue in finding a contractor and helping with the arrangements. Humberto came to our rescue after I had worked my way through a list of 7 other possible contractors who (supposedly) were licensed to do work in Yonkers. In the case of those contractors, most of them weren’t actually licensed in Yonkers, but it didn’t matter because after I had walked them through the house and project, and gotten assurances from them that they were interested in the work and would get back to me with a bid, I either never heard from them again (despite reminder emails) or received repeated assurances the a bid would be forthcoming next week, then next week, and then in one more week, etc. Fortunately, I discovered Humberto (AKA Riverview Contractors) and all of the wonderful reviews about his work on this and other sites. I’m so relieved that I did. He came out, was straight-forward, provided me with a bid within about a week (and let me know approximately how long it would take him to do so), and quoted me a price that I couldn’t refuse. The work that I needed consisted of many “fixes” and improvements on a large house (~4000 sq ft) that was to go on the market. These ranged from replacing windowpanes and broken pulleys on old, wood-framed windows to re-doing cement steps, installing new bannisters, supporting a sagging porch, modernizing a bathroom (including redoing some plumbing, installing ceiling vents, new flooring, new vanity, etc.), and walling off attic space including installing a drop-down ladder access. These were just a few of the modifications that Humberto and his crew made, and despite working on other jobs at the same time, he always fit this work in. He was also an excellent communicator and very generous with help as well. To cite a specific, concrete example: As part of the “refurbishing”, we ordered a new, stainless steel, refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer) which was to be delivered late one afternoon. Naturally, I looked at the measurements and measured the doors before ordering. Unfortunately, I measured the width of the door frame, forgetting to include the additional width of the door stop. When the delivery men tried to move the refrigerator into the kitchen, it wouldn’t fit through the door (even after removing the door and hinges). These workers weren’t interested in engaging in carpentry and gave me a choice: either accept the refrigerator where it stood or they would return it. In a panic, I phoned Humberto, who I knew was working late, 7 days per week, on a big project, and asked for advice. Humberto answered and said to have them leave the refrigerator where it was and that he would get it into place. Naturally, I assumed that he would come the next day or over the weekend to size up the situation. In fact, he showed up at 8:00 pm that evening, with two of his workers, and they proceeded to carefully remove the door stops on either side of the frame (without splintering either of them!), wrangled the refrigerator through the door and into place, and then reassembled the door frame and door. Not only did they come after a long day of work, but they refused to accept any compensation for the work. If you want to engage a hard-working, creative, exceedingly honest, accomplished, and economical contractor, I encourage you to have Humberto out to assess your project

"Plumbers tore apart my walls to run new pipe. LSM Drywall & Painting came to the rescue. They showed up exactly when they said they would and got right to work. The highly skilled workers patched up a dozen holes of varying sizes perfectly in about 4 hours which was surprisingly quick to me. The next day was texturing and the following day was painting. Each day, the crew cleaned up and left my place neat. When they were finished, it looked like nothing ever happened to those walls. "Oren and team just did a full rebuild of the porch of our 1925 home. The proposal process was great, and crystal clear, with good options which showed he listened to our needs. Oren gave us updates throughout the process via text, sending me photos when he needed my input. "I would highly recommend Eyal & ELC Builders!! They are reliable, professional, responsive, and fair priced. Eyal came out immediately when we had the gas leak issue. Not only was his price the best, he was also the only one that noticed that our auto gas shut off valve was not installed properly. "I worked with Supreme Remodeling last year to rebuild house for me in Burbank last year. It was a long and arduous project that involved demolishing 50% of an old house down to the studs and then building an attached addition from the ground up. I sent out my completed architectural plans to at least 15 different companies, and took interviews with many of them. Received bids from maybe 5-6 different ones. Here's what the difference was. First of all, Micky the owner of Supreme remodeling took the initial meeting himself. He was in no way pushy or salesy in any way. He was patient (it took a month for me to come to a decision). I was able to look at ACTIVE construction projects that he had going on. He was extremely knowledgeable on all of the new building trends and he has a good eye for design. Once I signed on, it took about 9-10 months to complete. He has a good roster of subcontractors that he works with. But his inside guys Eddie and Ronell are outstanding. In the end the real difference that sets Supreme apart has to be the service. Micky and his staff are very available and responsive. Even on a Sunday night he's active and communicating the following weeks work. If there's an issue he's on top of it. And even though the initial cost of the project was high, you definitely get what you pay for and to be honest, it is a very common experience to have contractors to offer you a lower price just to rope you into a situation where they constantly barrage you with extra charges during the project because they weren't "in the contract". All in all I would definitively work with Micky and supreme again in the future on any projects that I have coming up.
