Elegant Hardwood Floors

We had Elegant Hardwood Floors extend our hardwood flooring into our dining room and sitting room. We also had them refinish our existing floors in our entryway, kitchen, etc. I was so impressed at every step of the process, and blown away by the results. We would 100% use them again!

We had Elegant Hardwood Floors remove the carpet from the front room and hallway and replace it with red oak flooring. They were a delight to work with through the whole process. Jen was very proactive and available for questions and clarifications, and worked hard to keep everything on track, removing the carpet and installing the base boards herself. Matt, the installer, is a true craftsman, and dedicating to doing things the right way, not the easy way. We ran into a problem near our fireplace where the previous owner had cut some corners that were not visible while covered with carpet. Matt came up with a solution that left the floor smooth and flat, with no blemishes. Dan, the sander/finisher, was equally professional and very careful to impact our daily lives as little as possible. I was very impressed with everyone from Elegant, and their dedication to installing a quality floor. It is a beautiful change to my home that will last for decades.

The whole experience was exceptional from the initial bid to the final touches. Everything went as planned. Jennifer is wonderful to work with along with the entire team. Jennifer was available to answer my questions and she provided a detailed schedule. I am very impressed with the quality of the work and my floors are gorgeous. Jennifer called and made an appointment shortly after I entered the information on Angie's list. She was punctual by arriving on the agreed to time. The estimate was complete and fair. The job was a small one and could be completed in one day. We agreed to the work and asked to be put on their schedule. She called later that day and said they had an opening the next day. Jennifer and Daniel arrived right on time and got to work. Daniel did a fantastic job of demolition on removing the damaged panels and then replaced them in a timely manner. Daniel was friendly, courteous and professional. He kept us informed of his progress. Daniel cleaned up the mess and then buffed the entire floor and had it sealed. The entire project was completed in one day, approximately eight hours. After Daniel was finished, Jennifer returned to assist in the finishing sealing. Jennifer called the next day to check on the status of the floor. It was great. The floor looks like new. I would hire Elegant Hardwood Floors again.

In a word, flawlessly. Jennifer provided a detailed analysis and quote for the project, a precise plan, including delivery of the required wood and a day-by-day schedule which was executed exactly. Highly reliable, competent and pleasant from start to finish. I’d recommend Elegant without reservation.

It was a pleasure to work with Jennifer with Elegant Hardwood Flooring. She’s very professional and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions and concerns. After the poor job that was done by the handyman, she took great care to ensure the job was done right and to my satisfaction, and kept me updated on the progress. My floors turned out beautifully and I was very happy with the results. The lesson learned is hardwood floor refinishing is not for an amateur and should be left to a professional. They were professional, courtesy, always on time and incredibly flexible when our framing/drywall/painting contractor missed deadline after deadline. It was a bit embarrassing to have to ask Jennifer to move the refinishing of our master (the smaller of the two jobs they did for us) bedroom out at least twice because our other contractor could not be ready for Elegant, but she was gracious, accommodating and incredibly patient. We had a lot of contractors in our house for more than six months and Elegant Hardwood Floors was by far the most pleasant to deal with. They were exceptional and I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone who needs floors refinished, patched or installed.

Jennifer was excellent to work with, and we love our floors. She was incredibly responsive to all of our questions (email, phone, and text), even at strange times of day and on weekends. The process went very smoothly and was minimally intrusive on our lives. Jennifer also recommended that we glue down our floors since they are over a crawlspace, which other bids did not take the time to consider or recommend. Not including the cost of the glue, the bid was in line with other bids, but we were more confident in Jennifer's expertise and willingness to go above and beyond. I would recommend Elegant Hardwood Floors without reservation.

It was the best experience I have had in 20 years with a contractor and we have had a lot of contractors and businesses remodeling and improving our homes.

They were great. Showed up when they said they would. I was out of town and they accommodated me so nicely. The floor looks amazing. They protected the rest of my home from dust. It was a big job but they finished on time and at a great price. I wish I’d done this earlier!

Jenn was so amazing and Will our service guy was the nicest guy ever, respectful and dedicated and his work is impeccable! Jenn responded to my call and came out to give me a bid within a day and she was awesome and gave me the fairest price, and the work was flawless. We didn't want to sand down the rest of the main floor while getting new hardwoods in the kitchen and Will made it work and our new hardwoods match PERFECTLY. The patchwork in the master is amazing and I can't stop staring at our beautiful new floors. Thanks guys!

Robert promptly responded to my inquiry. He got started within a few days, and finished ahead of schedule. He was not only restoring the floor, but cleaning up from a botched attempt by another contractor. Jennifer made a new transition piece between the hall and the remodeled bathroom that is perfect. The floors look like new and have a great finish. Great work, fast, professional. Highly recommend.

Jennifer came to see the job 2 days after we spoke. She was very knowledgeable and professional. She pointed out some issues with the maple floor that might effect the sanding, but when she and her crew came, they were able to sand just enough so as not to ruin the grain. The floors in both rooms came out beautifully!!

They were great! Really did a good job and showed up when they said they would be there! Will was amazing and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend!

It went fantastic from beginning to end! Jennifer was very prompt getting back to me within the hour after requesting a bid. She then came out to give me the actual bid the same day. They are very busy but was able to schedule my job out 3 weeks. Will the contractor was awesome! He was very professional and very courteous and respectful. There was a very limited amount of dust do to his skilled and organized work. He constantly kept me in the loop and updated me with the process and made sure I approved. The floor took 4 days to finish and looks absolutely beautiful! I would have these guys do it again in a minute and I wouldn't want to refer anyone else. Awesome company and quality of workmanship!

We could not have been happier with Jennifer, Robert, and their team. Most of our interactions were with Jennifer. She is a personable, professional, and reliable perfectionist. She and her team worked in our home for a total of 15 weeks due to the extent and difficulty of the job, and it was clear from the beginning that we were getting the absolute best treatment from very talented professionals. All of the professionals--those who removed the carpet, removed the tile, leveled the concrete, installed the wood, sanded/stained/sealed the wood, and installed and painted the new baseboards--were always on time and on schedule. Our floors are absolutely beautiful, and Jennifer went over them with a fine tooth comb after they were completed. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
