"Denis is such a professional and he knows his stuff. I found him on Yelp. He responded to my request so quicky and came the same day to fix my fridge. He even cleaned out the freezer and air filter after the work was completed. If you need someone to fix your appliances, he is THE ONE."

"I decided to purchase the Big Deal because my AC unit seemed to be rattling.  The noise was intermittent but it was worrisome.
UMC Appliance Repair Co. arrived a little late but they called to say they were delayed on a previous job. When they arrived, I told the technician about the noise.  After inspecting the unit, he say that the condenser coil was extremely dirty and he recommended an acid wash.  He asked when the unit had last been serviced.  Since it had been a while since I had had a basic service, I told him to go ahead.  He also said I was a little low on freon so I told him to top it off.  These services added an extra $310 to the Angie's Big Deal.
The AC unit is on the roof.  The technician assured me that the acid wash would not hurt the roof or the plants in my yard.  In order to avoid future acid washes, he recommended servicing the unit 2 times a year.
The air conditioner is running quietly and efficiently now.  I was unhappy with my old AC service so I will certainly use UMC Appliance Repair in the future.

"Washing machine stopped mid-cycle and broke very early in the morning on Christmas Eve. I called right away. They would have sent someone later that day, except we had to be somewhere and couldn't be home, ourselves. Since it was Christmas weekend, the repairman and his assistant arrived within his scheduled time-frame on Monday. He said we needed a new motor. This seemed reasonable to me because we've had the washing machine at least 11 years, and the motor has never been replaced. Fortunately, they had the part on their truck, so they replaced it right away."

"I had broken the handle on our microwave. Ordered the part online and they told me it was an easy fix. Watched Youtube videos and it seemed easy. It was not. That is when I called Airflow Appliance Repair. One of the three pros recommended by Home Advisor. They told me if it was an easy fix it would be $90 but if they had to take off the door $150. I knew already it would cost $150. It took him a while becasue it was not easy but he did a great job. Highly recommend."

Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

All electronics need to be unplugged and turned off during fumigation, and that includes your fridge. Your fridge’s ventilation system may pull in harmful fumigation chemicals if left on. The best thing you can do is aim to eat all of your fresh or frozen foods before fumigation and toss or take with you what you couldn’t eat when the time comes.

Bidets save you money in the long run by reducing water and toilet paper usage. Using a bidet can slash your toilet paper budget by as much as 64% annually for a savings of $50 per person. Moreover, a standard toilet uses 1.6 gallons of water per flush, while bidets only require 0.17 gallons per use.

Some types of electric fireplaces use more electricity than others. Models that produce 1,500 watts will have more of an effect on your heating bill than 750-watt models.

Electric fireplaces use an average of $1.85 of electricity every eight hours. These minimal operational costs aren’t likely to make a big difference in your electric bill—unless you’re using it as a primary heating source for your home and it’s running most of the time.

A dishwasher with a 52 dBA or under is considered quiet or very quiet, similar to a soft conversation or a whisper. Remember that the design of your kitchen and your home layout will greatly affect how far the sound carries.

Often, a repairperson who comes to your home will advise you on whether to replace or repair an appliance. If the repair cost is high and only slightly extends the appliance's longevity, the repairperson may recommend a replacement. Keep in mind that if you decide to buy a new appliance, you’ll likely still have to pay the repairperson for their time and assessment.
