"Denis is such a professional and he knows his stuff. I found him on Yelp. He responded to my request so quicky and came the same day to fix my fridge. He even cleaned out the freezer and air filter after the work was completed. If you need someone to fix your appliances, he is THE ONE."

"I decided to purchase the Big Deal because my AC unit seemed to be rattling.  The noise was intermittent but it was worrisome.
UMC Appliance Repair Co. arrived a little late but they called to say they were delayed on a previous job. When they arrived, I told the technician about the noise.  After inspecting the unit, he say that the condenser coil was extremely dirty and he recommended an acid wash.  He asked when the unit had last been serviced.  Since it had been a while since I had had a basic service, I told him to go ahead.  He also said I was a little low on freon so I told him to top it off.  These services added an extra $310 to the Angie's Big Deal.
The AC unit is on the roof.  The technician assured me that the acid wash would not hurt the roof or the plants in my yard.  In order to avoid future acid washes, he recommended servicing the unit 2 times a year.
The air conditioner is running quietly and efficiently now.  I was unhappy with my old AC service so I will certainly use UMC Appliance Repair in the future.

"I had broken the handle on our microwave. Ordered the part online and they told me it was an easy fix. Watched Youtube videos and it seemed easy. It was not. That is when I called Airflow Appliance Repair. One of the three pros recommended by Home Advisor. They told me if it was an easy fix it would be $90 but if they had to take off the door $150. I knew already it would cost $150. It took him a while becasue it was not easy but he did a great job. Highly recommend."

There are many warning signs that your small appliance needs to be repaired, with specific signs depending on the type of appliance. Here are some general warning signs that apply to all small appliances and indicate that a repair is a good idea:

  • Visibly frayed wires or bent plug terminals

  • Failure to turn on or operate normally

  • Abnormal sounds during operation

  • Plugging the appliance into multiple outlets shorts the breaker or trips GFID outlets

  • Appliance emits strange odors during operation

You may not be able to recycle certain types of electronics. Some examples of electronics that might be rejected from the recycling process are LCD televisions, LCD computer monitors, and older televisions with mercury.

Ovens are measured by the width, height, and depth of the overall oven (typically in inches). You’ll want to measure the oven not only for the final space it’ll be installed in but also to make sure all the openings in your home to get to your kitchen can accommodate its size.

While they’re historically different, the two terms are interchangeable in the contemporary world. Nowadays, both stoves and ranges refer to the combination of a cooktop and an oven. The cooktop is sometimes referred to as the “stovetop.” Modern stoves and ranges are powered by either gas or electricity and last 13 to 15 years on average.

Yes, you can operate an electric fireplace (and other types of fireplaces) without the remote. If you’ve misplaced the remote or are waiting for the replacement to arrive, you can still control the fireplace at the access panel. You can find the access panel near the firebox, typically located at the bottom or top of this section.
