"Tracy and his crew were amazing at their speediness, prompt service, and amazing customer service as well as unbeatable pricing. When our house was egged a week later, Tracy came back and took care of the damage at no cost. He also replaced a roof tile at no cost. He took excellent care of us. Could not recommend a better painter."

"We worked with Ali (sales manager) and Tony (project manager), who took the time to design a project that made sense for our property and our budget, made a number of suggestions and recommendations and were never pushy or tried to "sell" us on something. The crew really went above and beyond to provide top quality workmanship and overall we were in very good hands. Highly recommended!"

"The very best decision I’ve made this year, on renovating my home, was to hire this contractor. Juan responded immediately, to my request for service. He scheduled an appointment with me, to estimate the work required, to complete the project. After receiving an estimate, of not only the work that would be performed, it also included recommendations, for the best materials, to perform the job. Juan explained the steps necessary, to get the desired look I was trying to achieve. I was very impressed, at Juan. He always appeared in professional work attire, as well as his professional paint crew. He communicated, everything with me, and made sure I was in agreement. He was always asking if I had any questions, wanted to make changes, or if the job was going as planned. Everyday they arrived for work, on time, or early. They constantly cleaned up after themselves, and when they left for the day, they left things orderly. Juan, his crew are true professionals! I have scheduled more work!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is important to wash your deck before painting to ensure the paint applies well and adheres properly. While you don't have to use a pressure washer, it is one of the most efficient cleaning methods. Pressure washing can quickly remove dirt, wood fibers, and flaked paint, getting deeper into the wood than manual scrubbing. You can also clean the deck with a stiff broom and a cleaning solution. Regardless of the method, a clean surface is essential for good paint adhesion. Make sure the deck is completely dry before applying any paint.

Eggshell and satin finishes are best for porches because they sit in the sweet spot between scuffable matte and distracting high gloss. Your porch sees a fair amount of wear and tear, so you don’t want paint that’ll show every mark like matte, but you don’t want to be blinded by glossy paint in the sun either. Eggshell and satin have durability and a look that sits nicely in the middle.

The best temperature to paint a pool deck is between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, because many paints and sealers require temperatures warm enough for the chemical reaction to take place for proper curing. The paint should not be allowed to freeze, and temperatures above 90 degrees can cause the paint to dry too quickly, also preventing the chemical reaction from following through to completion.

A wood deck requires annual cleaning and regular inspections for loose or broken boards, nails, and screws. It should be refinished by applying a stain or sealer every two to three years to protect the wood from water damage, rot, mildew, and sun fading. The exact frequency can depend on the climate and the deck's exposure to sun and moisture. If your deck is painted, it will need repainting approximately every 10 years. Signs that your deck needs refinishing include faded, splintering, or warping boards.

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.
