"Bill and his team were a delight to work with. They were fun and put me at ease They pressure washed whole house, gutters and under awning and carport cover. bill replaced a board that was rotten for me. They applied 3 coats of paint. Bill bought all the paint and helped me decide on the colors. He even painted an area twice without complaining because I changed my color. They were on time every day, worked very quickly and accommodated my frequent requests. At the end, they rehung all my brackets for yard art nd such. I'm already thinking of having them do more work on the inside while I've found them."

"We had a wonderful experience using J.A. Wallcovering to install peel and stick wallpaper for our nursery. They scheduled us within a week of us reaching out, were professional, and completed the job very quickly. We had an issue installing peel and stick wallpaper after someone else we originally hired could not complete the job."

"Working with ?All About Paint? to have the exterior of our home painted was a great experience. They returned phone calls immediately, gave us a very competitive quote, provided references and even helped to choose the perfect color combination. Once the work commenced, they removed the gutters, pressure washed the whole house, made repairs to the stucco in various areas, painted all exterior, wood trim, patio cover, front doors, side doors, and metal garage doors. They even went as far as removing the exterior light fixtures, and re-installing them when the work was complete. It took them a complete week to do the job. They were on-time every morning and were meticulous about masking everything, and not getting over-spray or spilling paint on anything. The house looks great, and I will definitely use them again. My neighbor was so impressed with their work, that he hired ?All About Paint? to paint his house the following week.

"

Our home was built in 1924 and the plumbing reflected it.  When asked for an estimate to remodel two bathrooms, Tony warned us that the plumbing was a problem.  And how!  Years of paint and wallpaper had to be removed, the bathtub (no longer wanted) had to be removed, even the ancient commodes had to go.  Both rooms were taken down to the studs, and the first floor decking had to be replaced due to a leaky toilet.  This was far more than a simple remodel and Tony and his crew were superb.  Nothing phases these guys.  They worked in tandem with us at every step.  We met to select all tile, paint, commodes, sinks, etc., and all was done to our specs and on-time, despite many hiccups when problems with our aging house were encountered.

NOTE:  During the remodel, our 90-year-old mother was hospitalized, then brought home for hospice care.  Tony and the crew could not have been more cooperative, courteous and accommodating to our needs and schedules.

All was done on time and on-budget.  If changes were required or desired, Tony always let us know if there would be added cost.  When reports of El Nino alerted us to the need to repair the roofs, Tony and crew worked tirelessly to make sure we would be secure if and when the predicted deluge came upon us, even working all weekend to fit us in to their schedules.

Having been married to a general contractor for 20+ years in Florida, I know that design/build crews can sometimes be noisy, sloppy and unreliable.  We had major problems keeping competent help, especially after Hurricane Andrew (1992, category 5 storm).  Tony has assembled a team of competent men who not only do a first-rate job, but are unfailingly polite and always leave the finished project clean and habitable.  Given that they were working around a family in major upset due to the illness and death of the lady of the household, their work on our home is nothing short of a miracle!

Thank you Tony, Marco, Christian and all the guys.  (We're already thinking up plans for the kitchen!)  You will have no regrets if you hire OM Construction.

"We hired Sam and his professional team to remodel our master bathroom, guest bathroom, remove some lighting and to install recessed lights in the kitchen. We are very pleased with the work they did! All the bathrooms are gorgeous and the recessed lights are perfect. Sam and the crew worked at the house every day until the remodeling was completed. They worked very professionally and efficient. Definitely perfect craftsmanship. Sam was also easy person to work and talk with, very comit man to all of our requests. We’ve absolutely found our contractor!"

"We had a short-notice job and Andy and company were able to accommodate us. The work he and his crew did was high quality *and* timely. The team communicated with us every step of the way and, when we had a mix-up with the paint color (paint shop's fault, not Andy's), they corrected it immediately. Andy was on-site and painting every day as well. They also repaired any issues with the walls prior to painting. The house looks brand new! I would not hesitate to recommend Andy and will definitely be using him and his crew for future jobs."

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

While it is possible to paint over wallpaper, it is generally better to remove it first to guarantee a smooth, professional finish. Painting over wallpaper can save time, but it may lead to issues if not done correctly.

You can paint over existing wallpaper if it is in excellent condition: smooth, non-textured, clean, and firmly adhered to the wall. Ensure there are no bumps, tears, or peeling areas, and that all corners and seams are securely glued down. You might also consider painting over wallpaper if removing it would damage the underlying wall. Additionally, some wallpapers are specifically designed to be paintable, which can add texture to a room.

However, there are risks. If the wallpaper is textured, damaged, or peeling, these imperfections will show through the new paint. The moisture from the paint can also loosen the wallpaper's adhesive, causing it to bubble and potentially damage the wall. To mitigate these issues, clean the surface thoroughly and use an oil-based primer to help the paint adhere and prevent the old adhesive from bleeding through.

White walls are considered a classic and timeless look and will most likely always be in style. A white wall easily blends into any type of home decor style which makes it a suitable option for most homeowners. Another appealing quality about white walls is that if it's not a color someone is going for, the color is easy to paint over.

The simple nature of peel and stick wallpaper means it should come off much more easily than traditional wallpaper that is glued to your walls. You’ll still want to work slowly and carefully to avoid tearing it, but most peel and stick wallpaper should come off without a chemical agent to loosen it.

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

The average cost to install or hang wallpaper is around $575 per room or project, with typical prices ranging from $200 to $1,500. Costs can be higher for custom or luxury products. Since project size varies, it's often helpful to estimate labor costs per square foot, which generally fall between $1 and $7, with an average of $4 per square foot. The total cost depends on several factors, including the quality and type of wallpaper, the size and type of the room, and whether old wallpaper must be removed first. Opting for less expensive materials like peel-and-stick wallpaper or choosing to do the installation yourself can lower the overall cost. For the most accurate estimate, it is best to have a professional inspect the space and provide a quote.
