"Randy and his team were amazing. The Mexican tile floor in my enclosed patio needed to be restored. Randy took a look at the room and developed a solution that exceeded my expectations at a fair price. His team helped empty and return the furnishings in the room treating the items in the room with care and respect. I always knew the state of the project and the next steps. The floor looks better than when it was new. The next time I need a contractor I will call Randy. You should too."

"The team at DK tile did great work. They installed 13ft of stacked stone on my fireplace and retiled a half-wall in the kitchen. They were flexible, accommodating, clean, and quick. I'm really happy with the result. I will definitely use them again for upcoming projects."

"My wife and I were in the middle of a huge home makeover project having Travertine floor an shower tiles installed in our 2300 sq ft home when the tile guy abandoned the Job. After submitting a job on HomeAdvisor Jim from Jims tile came by and impressed us with his knowledge, professionalism and can do attitude so we hired him. Jim saved the day an wrapped up the flooring and floor to ceiling showers in record time also cleaning up some of the previous tile guys mistakes. He did such a spectacular job we brought him back to challenge him with a fireplace surround and matching front porch of Saltillo tile with an intricate Talavera tile inlays and 4 inch Talavera boarders. There were over 500 individually hand placed Talavera tiles in the 300 sq ft porch and it is truly an amazing work of art. I wish this site accepted photos so I could share. Jim has an amazing talent, is truly professional, and a pleasure to work with. I have more tile work planned in the near future and for sure Jim is the one that will be installing it. All I can say if you want it done right at a fair price then Jim is your man!"

"Miguel tackled a nasty job of removing two sets of bathroom faucets totally ruined by and stuck to the countertops with water deposits. The fragile tile was left intact, and he installed new fixtures. He appeared on time as agreed and was easy to work with. He is very experienced and reliable; saved us having to replace a tile countertop."

"My 23 years old tile roof need to be replaced due to poor quality material used by previous local roofer. After search through 6 estimates, I pick Tony's bid because he listen to my concern and his prices seems fair. Normally roofing job starts in April or May, after the raining season, but our roof was leaking in several spots and Tony and Tino (the roofer) started the project in February. With the wettest raining season in recent memory in LA, it was a challenge to work on roof during the break between rain storms, but Tony and Tino's crew pull through the challenge. During the process, Tino also points out several issues with our chimney and he was able to do a thural repair and painting while he was up on the roof. As with any construction project, we encounter areas that need extra work and Tony was very easy to talk to and we were able to reach a reasonable price for the extra work. The only complaint I have about the whole project is that during the project, the crew allow the dirt got into my gutter and the cleaning process was not as thural as I'll like. Overall, I am very pleased with our roof project with OM Construction. Tony is very responsive during the process and address my concern very quickly. Tino's experience and attention to detail make me feel confident about the quality of our roof job."

"They did a fanatic job on installing the custom fence around my back patio. I run a doggy day care from home and this keeps the pups safe in back yard and looks professional. I was so excited to know they could color match the fence to what ever color I wanted and they kept me up to date as the fencing was being created.

"Our wonderful remodeling job was done by Best builders group & their awesome team. After shopping around for more than few months for a good home improvement company, we got to Best builders group. The project manager was easygoing, skilled, honest and perfectionist!! For sure there was no pressure of any kind which caused us to feel very comfortable with him. We decided to remodel our kitchen & the backyard. The work included the installation of artificial turf, plants/flowers while the kitchen was completely updated. They installed new cabinets (upper and lower), countertops, backsplash tiles, lights, paint and more... the new kitchen absolutely looks gorgeous and the house is like a new one. All of our friends and family always amazed when they come to visit. They took extra care of everything and the crew and staff was very nice and polite all the time. We definitely recommend Best builders group to everyone!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

As long as you follow the instructions on your peel-and-stick tile packaging, it should not damage your walls. A possible instance when you may accidentally damage your walls is if you install tiles improperly using additional adhesives that aren’t recommended.

Also, you can damage your walls if you’re not careful when removing tile. For example, you could accidentally make holes in the drywall with a paint scraper if you don’t heat the adhesive long enough before trying to pry it off.

Uniform spacing between tiles is important for a professional and clean appearance. To achieve this spacing, tile spacers should be placed between the tiles and left in place until the mortar hardens and the tiles are secure. You can use X-shaped spacers vertically in between the tiles and laid flat at the corners.

You should always use caulk instead of grout where the tile meets the wall. This will help your tile installation look great and last a long time. When you accidentally use grout for the corner seams, you end up making the tiles too rigid. So as the wall shifts over time, your tiles have no wiggle room. This can lead to tile damage, which will eventually require you to do at least a partial reinstallation.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

To maintain tile and grout, clean the surfaces regularly with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and wipe up spills promptly to prevent buildup. It is also important to reseal the grout every 1-2 years to maintain its durability.
