Customers say: True professional

"Extremely well! This was my second time using Styles and Tiles and I am overly satisfied. I purchase some expensive glass tiles for my backsplash and Styles and Tiles was able to install it perfectly. My first encounter with Styles and Tiles was three years ago when they installed the tile for my master bathroom and fireplace in my bedroom. It was a huge job I was desperate because I had hired a previous tile installer that did a horrible job. Styles and Tiles was recommended to me and I will continue to use them as my tile installer."

"We hired Magic Tile to install a kitchen backsplash using very small mosaic tiles, and the result is absolutely beautiful. We took time choosing the grout color, and they were patient, supportive, and gave perfect advice. Truly professional- highly recommended."

"Ruben came in to replace old natural stone that was falling apart and install new porcelain tile in our two upstairs bathrooms. In less than two days, he and his team of helpers removed the tile, moved and reinstalled the bathroom vanities (which had stone countertops and backsplashes), installed new tile and new moulding. They also removed the toilets and doors to be able to get the work done as necessary. All was done professionally and beautifully. We were highly impressed with Ruben s work. Would highly recommend LA Stone and Tile to anyone."

"Jim was very professional and easy to speak with. My floor in a downstairs bathroom had a leak, and all the Wooden planks were destroyed. Jim installed a high quality of tile that I already had, and talked me through how the pattern would placed for a pleasing look, the color grout, etc. He and his associate did a beautiful job and I'm very pleased with the result I highly recommend his services for your home! "Removed and re-installed porcelain tile in kitchen, powder room and pantry. Gustavo was very responsive to calls, e- mails and texts! Tile installers were efficient, friendly, and did an excellent job cleaning up each day. They arrived each day at the same time which was appreciated and worked without breaks! Gustavo helped with tile selection and checked in during the process! I highly recommend Chuyâ s Tile and plan to use them for another project."

"Very pleased with our bathroom remodel! Demolition happened in one day, with careful cleanup when they were done. Installation then went forward with no delays, no waiting for materials or available crew. Excellent communications and supervision throughout the whole project. And the price was reasonable. Awesome experience and our new bathroom is fantastic! We would hire Superior Home Remodeling again for sure!"

"A tile had slipped from my roof causing a leak in my home.  This company sent out a very prompt, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable foreman to check on my leak.  Within five minutes or so, he was off my roof, the problem solved.
Where other companies would have gouged me for thousands, this company was very honest.  I will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

The easiest tile size to install is large tiles, and they’re easier to install than small tiles—the job is faster and simpler when there’s less placing, adhering, and grouting to do. However, when tiles get really big, they’re more difficult to handle, cut, and fit. Standard floor tile sizes are 12-by-12 inches, 18-by-18 inches, and 12-by-24 inches.

Penny tile should be sealed to protect the grout from moisture and keep stains from damaging the look of the tile. If penny tile is in a humid or high-traffic area, like a bathroom, kitchen, or entryway, it needs sealant. Any type of tile and grout is best maintained with a sealant reapplied by a pro every one to two years.

Tile countertops can last up to 100 years when properly maintained. Ceramic and porcelain tiles are the most durable types and can last as long as natural stone countertops like granite, marble, and quartz. Tile countertops are much cheaper than natural stone countertops, making them an excellent option for a homeowner with a limited budget.

The lifespan of tile flooring can vary significantly based on the material and maintenance. Generally, tile flooring can last anywhere from 10 to 30 years, but high-quality, well-maintained ceramic tile can last 75 to 100 years. To achieve a longer lifespan, you should clean the tiles and grout regularly, reseal the grout annually, keep the floor dry, and avoid placing extremely heavy items on it to prevent cracking. Choosing a high-quality tile (Grade 1) will also contribute to its longevity.

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.
