"We interviewed many contractors for this job. In the end, it boiled down to the good rapport with Nathan. On the plus side, his work is beautiful and his workers always showed up as promised. He never quibbled about some concerns we had throughout. But, we were up sold some work, (which we likely needed anyway) but were under the gun to make a decision and had to haggle under those conditions. Also, he sometimes requires multiple messages to get a response. Overall, very, very pleased with results and recommend to anyone."

He was very knowledgeable and made it feel like he was helping us come up with some great ideas. Some of the other contractors that came to the house and gave us quotes were pretty stingy when it came to creative ideas, they didn't really allow us to put to much of our input in. But that was not the case with So Cal Builders, it was really nice to feel like we were being heard and they had some fantastic ideas and found ways to save us money. They werent the least expensive bid, NES was the most communicative, most prepared, and most professional of all the companies we let give us bids. They explicitly said what they planned to do and what the cost would be. There was no If this, then that. Everything was precisely planned. They communicated daily to let us know exactly who would come the next day, at what time, and what work they would do. We never wondered, Is anyone coming today? Natalie was great going over designs. Sean was great going over production. Their team was professional, considerate of our living space, and experts at what they did. They cleaned/dusted each day.
