"The large paint crew came early and finished my one story house by 4pm. They painted the stucco, trim, siding and gates. The work was neat and professional, and the crew polite and cooperative. Jame's price was excellent and lower than the other two estimates I obtained. My house looks wonderful!!"

"Craig responded to my request in a timely manner. He arrived to the interview on time and gave me a fair estimate for the job of painting my master bedroom. He and Tanya were hired and arrived on time to start the job with all needed materials. They were friendly and polite and both worked steadily. They also did an excellent job of clean up afterward. I was impressed with their honesty and work ethic. We will certainly hire them again for our next project."

"In my 29 years as a homeowner in Jurupa Valley I have had many contractors do work on my home. Without doubt, Ron and his professional crew did the most outstanding job I have ever witnessed. On time every day, great prep and clean up work and a amazing and thorough paint job on my home with high quality paint for both stucco and trim. Ron was very transparent about what he was doing step by step and explained everything before each step. His crew, which included his father, were friendly and very hard working. We could not be more satisfied with the process or the finished product. I would strongly recommend this excellent business to anyone who wants a high quality full paint job on their home!!! Truly great contractors are sometimes not easy to find. This is, without doubt, a five star business!!!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Pressure-treated wood lasts at least 10 years, but with the right care and treatment, it can last as long as 40 years. Painting the boards is one way to increase the lifespan of pressure-treated wood. The layer of paint provides extra protection for the wood against the exterior elements and insects.

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

If you have the time and the budget, we strongly recommend staining your fence, especially if it's looking a bit tired or hasn't been treated recently. While you may not see the same return on investment (ROI) as you would with a project like a kitchen remodel, staining a fence is one of the best ways to add a facelift to your property—a new fence stain adds serious curb appeal to your home.

Moisture and rot are the largest threat to wooden fences. Stain can help your wood fence last 15 to 20 years, but only if you choose a stain with waterproofing qualities or add a sealant. Oil-based stains create a thicker moisture barrier than water-based stains, though both are mold and mildew resistant. You’ll generally need to re-stain your fence every one to eight years to get full protection.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.
