"Alex performed preventive maintenance on our AC and gas furnace and did a great job. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, which I really appreciated. I’m glad to have found a technician I can trust for future service and would highly recommend him."

"Pelle Heating & Air, Inc. came over did a really good job at first we had put in a larger air duck and its wasn't quite providing the results I was looking for and I let the owner Steve know and he came back over and made everything work good by putting an inline fan in and we even installed a new attic fan. I would recommend Pelle Heating & Air, Inc. as they really want to do things right and make sure that the customer is satisfied. I just say I'm very happy with the work and really recommend that you give them a try."

"PROJECT was really "A/C SOFT START INSTALLATION". I spent weeks trying to find an A/C professional who even KNEW about A/C SOFT START devices and could install them for me. I wanted the SOFT START device added so my A/C startup current could be reduced and place less of a load on my solar system batteries during a grid outage. The soft start device reduced the necessary startup power by 66%. Ahmed was the only person who even knew about them and did a GREAT job installing them."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

Most spiders are harmless or do little more than the equivalent of a bee sting. Prevention is the best option for more serious cases. Keep spiders out of your home when possible. When you find spiders, a spider nest, or egg sac, remove it quickly before an inquisitive pet or child gets involved. When children are old enough, teach them to recognize the few dangerous species of spiders and avoid them to prevent getting bitten.

Scented mouse deterrents, like peppermint oil, can be effective in the short term. The pungent smells may temporarily repel mice, but they lose effectiveness as the scent fades or mice get used to it. The main drawbacks are frequent reapplication and the fact that these deterrents don't address the root cause of the infestation, such as entry points or food sources. While they can be part of a broader strategy, scented deterrents alone are rarely enough to eliminate a mouse problem.

Aside from a warm, cozy place to curl up, you might wonder what attracts mice to your home. Several items attract mice, including: Birdseed Pet food Water Cereal and whole grains Food scraps from the composting bin Open trash cans High-fat and high-sugar foods Unused cars—they make great homes for chilly mice Insulation in the attic Clutter Brush from your yard, including leaves, sticks, wood, and shrubs (so mice can make nests) Overgrown trees or bushes—mice love to leap from branches onto the roof Indoor nesting materials, including cloth, paper, tissues, and toilet paper Tiny cracks in the siding or foundation

Moisture issues caused by leaky pipes, improper drainage, and poor airflow create environments that are ideal for termites to thrive in. Dampwood termites prefer water-damaged wood while subterranean termites require moist environments to survive. Climate can have an impact as well, with termites preferring to live in warm and humid climates with mild temperatures year-round. However, termites are present in every state in the United States, with the exception of Alaska.

Yes, dryer sheets can help repel mice. The strong artificial fragrances found in many dryer sheets, such as citrus, floral, or lavender, are unpleasant to mice, which are very sensitive to smells. Many people report success using them to deter mice from areas like cars, drawers, vents, and cupboards. The scent can last for many days, making the space undesirable for rodents. However, dryer sheets may not be a foolproof solution on their own. For more effective protection against rodent infestations, it is best to combine them with other preventive measures like traps, repellent sprays, and proper storage practices.
