"I had no heat and Alex came right out, found the problem and fixed it for me. He also did a maintenance check for me, at my request. He was a pleasure to work with, his prices were reasonable and I felt he did an excellent job."

"We hired LAR construction & remodeling to our total kitchen remodel including few other extra tasks such as: - installing a strong recirculating pump for the hot water. - upgrading and relocating the electrical box. - replacing the existing carpet and install new hardwood floors around the house. Sharon from LAR construction & remodeling was excellent with his ideas & help including his foreman while his directions made our remodeling project much less stressful than we thought it will be. The office manager Kim was in-charged on all the paperwork and she did a wonderful job by coordinating, communicating, handling all the paperwork while the working crew were prompt, responsive, & skilled. The whole remodeling project took 6 weeks from the beginning to the end. The main thing about this remodeling work which was the final price… was very fair compare to the level of comfort & trust that we had with LAR construction & remodeling was worth it."

Nest Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Most DIY roach fogger products are made of pyrethroid pesticides that come with their own unique risks and benefits. They also contain aerosol propellants that disperse the pesticides by creating a fog that fills the entire room. Read all labels carefully before purchasing a fogger product to ensure that you understand how to properly handle the ingredients that you are introducing into your home.

In certain cases, yes, the bees may go away on their own, but it’s a risk. Some bee types, such as bumblebees, create seasonal nests and then die out as their new queens seek homes elsewhere. But in most cases, you can’t count on the bees leaving naturally. It’s also not a great idea to leave openings in your walls any longer than you have to, which can attract other pests or cause moisture damage.

Many different types of animals like to build nests in attics. The types may vary depending on your home’s condition and location and you can prevent them by sealing off entry points and eliminating food sources. The most common critters that like to build nests in your attic include:

  • Raccoons

  • Bats

  • Squirrels

  • Mice

  • Rats

Yes, it’s possible to have bed bugs and not find them because they hide in small spaces outside of mattresses, including baseboards, headboards, electrical outlets, clothing, and in crevices of walls. They can squeeze into spaces as small as the width of a credit card. Bed bugs can also live up to 400 days without feeding, making them resilient and hard to eradicate.

Even with professional pest control and taking your own drastic measures to eliminate a phorid fly infestation, it can be difficult to get rid of these pests for good. If you find that phorid flies keep appearing in your home, it’s very likely that you have a persistent source of moisture such as a drain leak or a cracked sewer. Another culprit could be a decaying animal carcass in your home’s foundations.
