"Responsive service; on time; reasonable arrival window (meaning I didn't have to wait around for 4 hours!). Super nice technicians. Good solutions that make sense to the average homeowner. No up selling to things you really don't need. They just assess the problem and fix it. Right on time in the agreed upon window. Because I called early morning, they actually had a same day service appointment !!! This company has always delivered for me on my rental property and my personal property !! I like the reasonable price on 'small jobs' meaning less than $500. Some plumbing companies won't take small jobserved like that. The service fee to diagnose is extremely reasonable. And once they are there, you should just OK the work and be done with your plumbing problem !!"

"Javier is an honest, reliable, and professional. Quickly assessed the problem; provided me all the options and reasons behind each. He was on time and even more importantly will let you know when or if he believes he is running late. Very responsive as well. Also, his prices or fees are reasonable. Generally as easy guy to work with. Will definitely use for any future HVAC needs and confident in referring him to a close friend."

"I would definitely recommend Dennis‘s heating and cooling company. Dennis came out repaired my air condition unit. I was told by other companies my unit could not be repaired, I need a new one, or if the unit is over 20 years old we can’t repair it. All I can say is, if you have a problem with your air condition unit call Dennis’s heating and cooling company!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

This is a bit of a trick question. Even though the seasons arrive at the same time every year, the weather doesn’t always behave according to the calendar. So, while it’s fair to say that you can expect to turn on your AC starting in late May or early June, it all depends on the outside temperature and how cool you like to keep your home.

Yes, scorpions can enter a home through AC vents, especially if the system is not well-sealed. As excellent climbers, they can scale a home's exterior and squeeze through gaps as small as 1/16 of an inch. Scorpions are often attracted to the moisture around air conditioning ducts or seek cooler areas during hot weather, using vents as a pathway inside. They may slip through small openings where the duct meets the vent cover and travel within walls before emerging. To prevent this, inspect your vents, seal any gaps, and consider installing fine mesh screens.

If your central AC is not blowing cold air, you should try resetting the system. Many systems have a reset button. Make sure your thermostat is off, then turn off the circuit breaker that powers your AC. Hold the reset button for three to five seconds, then turn the circuit back on. Set your thermostat to cool and choose a temperature cooler than the room. Your system should turn on quickly.

You may never need an AC recharge if there are no leaks. However, if your AC unit has a leak that cannot be patched appropriately, you’ll need an AC recharge every time the freon level drops low enough that it disrupts your system—this could be once every two to three years. It all depends on the size and frequency of the leak.

While 72 degrees is a comfortable setting for many people, it’s likely not the most efficient temperature setting for your air conditioning unit. By pushing the temperature up to 75 or 78 degrees, you stand to save money on your energy bill. That said, these temperatures may be too warm to be comfortable for some people and are definitely too warm for most people to sleep comfortably.
