"They installed a fence in my house to separate our Daycare area with a space we set aside for our pet. The fence installation was done very quickly and the quality of the fence is amazing. Will always rely on them for any future projects!"

"We had a few delays because of the rain. But when stopped raining they showed up on time and started the project. They finished the gate next day. Clean up the trash and hauled it away. I would recommend EZHome to have a fence installed."

"Nathan did an excellent job on several areas in my yard. He is very familiar with drought resistant plants, improving and repairing my sprinkler system and most importantly trying to get my yard looking good again. He also knows what needs to be done to improve the look of my lawns. He is very efficient with his time. If he has an idea, and we had not talked about it prior to the start of a job, he always recommends a better way to go about getting the job done in a minimal amount of time."

"Tom Services Landscaping provided us with very competitive pricing for three highly visible projects at our home/property and did a fantastic job on all three. The custom white picket fence they installed looks great and was completed per our specifications. The circular driveway paving stone repair they did looked flawless and exceeded our expectations. The concrete sidewalk they installed looked super and was completed efficiently. Tom Gutierrez and his team are professional, paid attention to details, completed the projects as scheduled and left the site clean each day. We couldn’t be more pleased and we would definitely use their services again. Highly recommended."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

The price of purchasing and installing a fence around a pool is dependent on the type of fence material you choose. On average, a pool fence can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000+. Chain link and mesh fences are the least expensive options, while a fully glass fence will cost the most. Having an inground or above-ground pool will also be a key factor in determining fence prices.

There are many types of wood fencing that you can choose from. For split rail fencing, the most common wood types are cedar, pine, black locust, and chestnut. The best wood for you will depend on if you like the way a certain wood looks and the availability of the wood type in your area.

Most of the wood types you can find at your local home improvement store are good choices since they all have rot-resistant properties or are pressure-treated with pesticides. If none of the wood options speak to the look you’re going for, check out vinyl fencing.

When choosing wood for a fence, consider your budget and geographic region. The most popular and common types of wood are cedar, redwood, and pressure-treated pine. Cedar is a top choice due to its natural durability, resistance to rot and insects, and budget-friendly price. Redwood is another durable, tried-and-true option, though it is typically more expensive. Pressure-treated wood, such as pine, is also a widely used and popular alternative. These materials are readily available at most hardware stores, which makes future repairs and replacements easier. Their accessibility and long-lasting performance make them excellent choices for most fence installation projects.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.
