I asked to get a quote for my ceiling and, I thought oddly, was given one over the phone. I've never had anyone quote a job without seeing and measuring the scope of work.
The quote was much higher than I expected given the price quotes that I had seen from reviews here. For example one from late last year was less than $1.00/sq foot and I was quoted over 2x that much.
