Project was a new sound isolating ceiling, patch and refinish all electrician wall holes to match existing drywall finish, and, refinish fireplace bricks to match and blend into existing adjacent connecting drywall finish. Family company that delivered star professional results. I asked to get a quote for my ceiling and, I thought oddly, was given one over the phone. I've never had anyone quote a job without seeing and measuring the scope of work.
The quote was much higher than I expected given the price quotes that I had seen from reviews here. For example one from late last year was less than $1.00/sq foot and I was quoted over 2x that much. Maybe prices *have* gone up that much, but between the expense and not actually seeing the job site... I'm going to look elsewhere.
