"Amanda was really very good!  At first I was very skeptical, thinking why did I pay money to just speak with someone on the phone about my kitchen remodel project... but after just a few minutes of her addressing some of the issues/questions I emailed to her earlier, I knew it was worth it.  It was very clear that she knew her business and she gave me several ideas that I had not even thought about.  I told her that I would definitely recommend her to friends and I will very likely use her again myself for my next home project!

Small jobs welcome

"Outstanding company! Casa Contracting far exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier about my experience and the outcome of my project. Casa Contracting helped me through the entire process from design guidance to the difference in material choices and all my options. It was very apparent from day one that Casa Contracting was very knowledgable and truly cared about providing the best quality workmanship possible. As with most construction projects, there is always the possibility of unexpected budget changes/additions. Any possible changes were clearly brought to my attention and thoroughly discussed and approved by me so I knew exactly what to expect and there were no surprises. The crew was fantastic. They were very considerate, respectful, and professional, even gracefully putting up with my two 5 year grandsons shenanigans. The quality of the work was exceptional and beyond what I could have asked for. Part of my project required an excavator to remove over 200 feet of huge hedges while not disturbing a retaining wall prior to building new fencing. The yard is sloped I really did not want a step-down type fence. Casa Contracting was able to grade the yard incredibly well so I was able to get the fence line I wanted. This was challenging due to the existing landscape and obstacles. I couldnâ t believe how awesome this turned out. I almost cried when I saw how this turned out. Casa Contracting went above and beyond to ensure the results of my project were superior. Even traveling out of the area to get higher quality fencing materials. They could have just gone to the local home improvement store or lumber yard and I wouldnâ t have been the wiser and my fence would look like everyone elseâ s. My new fence is definitely a one of kind and the most beautiful in town! My new composite deck and iron railing is beautiful and very well built. I feel I was very well taken care of and have absolutely nothing negative to say about Casa Contracting. The quality of the workmanship and their customer service is top notch. I would absolutely recommend this company and will definitely be using the again for future projects."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Any bowing in a basement wall indicates a problem that needs to be addressed by a professional. If your basement wall bows more than 1 inch, it's time for an inspection. Generally, a wall can bow up to 30% of its thickness (around 2.5 inches for an 8-inch-thick wall) before it becomes an urgent situation. Bowing of 2 to 4 inches is more straightforward to fix than bowing of more than 4 inches, which will require significant repairs. If the bowing is more than 6 inches, the wall will likely need to be replaced. The sooner you address the problem, the easier and less expensive the repair will be.

Egress windows or doors are required in finished basements to meet safety and building codes. If your basement is unfinished and used as a storage space, egress windows are not required, but anything considered a habitable space must have an additional point of egress in addition to the stairs.

While framing a basement is not as difficult as finishing a basement, it's something you should typically leave to the pros. That’s because if something is installed correctly, it will affect your entire basement. However, you can take care of some of the smaller tasks, like filling holes or putting up some insulation.

Installing a bathroom in a basement isn’t a project for most homeowners. Many parts—plumbing, electricity, and carpentry—go into this project, each requiring expert-level knowledge and tools. One miscalculation can lead to very expensive repairs. Plus, some homeowner’s insurance might not pay for damages caused by a homeowner DIYing this project. You can protect yourself by allowing the pros to complete this job for you.

Professional remodelers streamline the process, manage permits, and handle renovations efficiently—significantly mitigating risk while maintaining standards.
