"I requested a quote through Home Advisor for a plumber near Lincoln, to have our pressure reducing valve checked due to a very high reading during a previous job. Brian at All Good Plumbing was the first to contact me and quickly provided me with the best quote and secured the parts to get the job done. He arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and after further inspection was able to determine that no repair was needed! Just an adjustment fixed the issue. Brian was courteous, professional and didnâ t charge me for the visit or the expected repair. All said and done, I found All Good Plumbing to be a great choice. Many thanks to Brian at All Good Plumbing and Drains for a great plumbing experience. Will definitely use them again when needed!"

"This company will do the job you asked for, and once they get started it will be done quickly and professionally. However, their communication leaves a lot to be desired. Our project got pushed back at least twice for a week at a time, throwing off our other projects. Again, the quality of their work is "A" level. Their timing and communication is a "C" at best."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Scheduling mandatory county inspections extends project timelines beyond a single visit. Historic homes in Grass Valley feature low-clearance crawl spaces that complicate access and require extra time for plumbing repairs. Uncovering layered, mixed pipe materials behind walls also demands additional work sessions. Furthermore, coordinating main water shutoffs with the local utility district adds another mandatory scheduling step to your timeline.

Helpful?

Recurring slow drains after cleanouts indicate severe tree root intrusion or collapsed clay sewer laterals. White mineral deposits around joints point to slow plumbing leaks weakened by freeze-thaw cycles, which will fail completely during the next hard freeze. In CA, sudden drops in water pressure signal severe interior corrosion inside older galvanized pipes, requiring a full system replacement rather than a simple fix.

Helpful?

Drain line installations on sloped hillside properties require precise grading to prevent chronic clogging. Insulating pipes in unheated crawl spaces is another highly sensitive plumbing task, as improper coverage leads to cracked pipes during freezing winters. Additionally, CA regulations mandate strict seismic strapping for water heaters. Skipping these essential supports creates significant safety hazards during earthquakes and requires immediate correction.

Helpful?

Multi-level foundations and daylight basements on sloped lots make routing new drain lines significantly more difficult. Historic homes in Grass Valley feature balloon-frame construction with non-standard wall cavities, complicating any interior plumbing updates. Additionally, large oak or pine trees near your water lines guarantee root intrusion challenges. Finally, low-clearance crawl spaces with seasonal moisture require extra labor and preparation before work begins.

Helpful?

Look for mismatched pipe materials or missing inspection tags, which point to unpermitted plumbing work. In Grass Valley, repeated winter freezes cause joint fatigue, so check for multiple layers of pipe tape or epoxy patches on older pipes. Persistent slow drains or visible pipe sag in your crawl space also indicate that previous drain installations failed to account for soil settlement on hillside lots.
